THE DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS SAYS TROOPS ELIMINATED OVER 100 TERRORISTS, ARRESTED 345 TERRORISTS, AND RESCUED 393 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS IN THE MONTH OF JULY.(PHOTO).

 The Defence Headquarters says troops eliminated over 100 terrorists, arrested 345 terrorists, and rescued 393 kidnapped victims in the month of July. The Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, stated this during the monthly Defence Media Operations briefing at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja. Major General Onoja added that during the period under review, 57 terrorists surrendered, over 1,000 arms and assorted ammunition were recovered, 18 illegal refining sites were destroyed, while 250,500 litres of stolen crude oil and refined petroleum products were recovered. Speaking further, Major General Onoja, on behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, reaffirmed the Armed Forces' commitment to the protection of lives and property nationwide, and their resolve to ensure that kidnapping, terrorism, secessionist agitation, and other forms of criminality are purged from society.

                   Troops of 3 Battalion,of 22 Task Force Brigade have made an unprecedented catch with the arrest arrest of 4 Boko Haram terrorists Ameers {kingpins} at Rann,headquarters of Kala Balge Local Government Area yesterday friday the 22nd of April 2016.The arrested kingpins specialized on various aspects of criminality to sustain the Boko Haram terrorists group in their areas.The four terrorists were arrested following a tip off by well meaning members of the public.Subsequently,the troops conducted a cordon and search operation in the general area that led to the apprehension of the terrorists leaders,who contribute to the sustenance of the insurgency through their illegal trade specialization.The arrested kingpins include Umara Mai Gyaran Rediyo {Radio Technician},Umaru Mai Nama,{who specialize in cattle rustling and sales},Alifa Makint {a specialist on stealing foodstuffs} and Balu Jugudum {in charge of stolen jewelleries}....

THE NIGERIAN ARMY,INTERCEPTED A SUICIDE BOMBER TODAY AT UMMARARI COMMUNITY.{PHOTOS}.

                                                              Troops of 7 Division Garrison Forward Operation Base {FOB},today averted yet another suicide bombing catastrophe on Ummarari community by suspected Boko Haram terrorists at about 7.000am this morning.The suicide bomber was intercepted by the vigilant troops and the Civilian JTF while making attempt to enter the village to detonate his dangerous cargo on innocent persons in Ummarari.The suicide bomber detonated the strapped Improvised Explosive Device {IED} vest on his body,thus killing himself instantly when he was forced to halt based on suspicion that he was carrying suicide bombing material.Thankfully,there was no any other casualty other than the suspected suicide bomber.Troops along with the Civilian JTF at the village are now combing the surrounding area to forestall ...

                       There is a gist going round watsapp and someone identified as Ijeoma forwarded this information to me.She wrote ''Please send this to all your contacts,it's very important.Chinese people have started producing corned beef with their dead bodies and sending them to Africa.Please stay away from corned beef irrespective of the brand,most especially in Africa and from Afro-Asian grocery shops''.I will like NAFDAC and other regulating bodies to look into these issue.
