 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

POLICE ARREST NOTORIOUS FEMALE ARMED ROBBER TERRORISING ANAMBRA COMMUNITY.{PHOTO}.

     The Anambra State Police Command on Thursday, arrested a female armed robber and her accomplice, who have been terrorising Abatete community with robberies and other heinous crimes. Parading the suspects, spokesperson of the command, Haruna Mohammed, said that on Thursday, following intelligence report, Police detectives attached to Eziowelle Division in conjunction with Abatete vigilante group arrested duo namely, (1) Ifeoma Joy Ugegbe alias "Sabath" 'f aged 20 years and, (2) Ifeanyi Chinweze alias "cheplat" 'm' aged 19 years both from Oranto Ukpo in Dunukofia LGA of Anambra State. Exhibits recovered from the suspects include one cut -to -size single barrel gun loaded with a cartridge. The case is under investigation after which the suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.

      Anambra Police nab three suspected cultists who abducted, gang raped two young girls and forced them to undergo initiation rituals... The Anambra State Police Command on Thursday, paraded three suspected cultists over the abduction and rape of two young girls. Briefing newsmen, spokesperson of the command, SP Haruna Mohammed said that on Wednesday, Surveillance Patrol team attached to Awada Division arrested Andrew Ejike, 20, Chidiebere Edwin, 19 and Chisom Christian, 17. "All the suspects, who have confessed to their membership of a cult group known as the "SAITARIS" abducted two young girls aged 15 and 17years and forced them to undergo some initiation rituals and allegedly gang raped the two young girls before letting them go." said Mohammed. The case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to Court for prosecution.

       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, has arrested a Nigerian Immigration Service officer, Adebimpe Kehinde, an Immigration Assistant, for his alleged involvement in passport racketeering. Kehinde was arrested alongside 14 other suspected passport racketeers on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the Immigration Service Passport office, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos, following intel ligence reports received by the Commission leading to series of surveillance about their alleged criminal activities. The suspects are: Nnadika Timothy, Oyeyiga Samuel, Sunday Adekunle, Lola Kadoso, Adebayo Damilola, Adeola Oluwafikayomi Ajiboshin, Abubakri Adebayo. Others are: Uka Precious Ifeanyi, Raph Emeka Ibuaku, Henry Onyebuchi, Christy Odey, Aba-Peter Ajuma Blessing,Ogunmefun Oluwanishola and Busayo Balogun.         Troops of 212 Battalion deployed at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Jakana, on Wednesday 17Th July, 2019 dealt with and neutralised unconfirmed number of Boko Haram/ISWAP Terrorists when they woefully attempted to infiltrate their base in dire need for logistics. The terrorists came at about 1845 hours in 7 Gun Trucks and fought fiercely to infiltrate the camp, but the attack was thwarted with heavy fire and bombardment by the gallant and patriotic troops who were vigilant and battle ready. The terrorists couldn't bear the fire power any longer after loosing significant number of both equipment and personnel in an exchange of fire. They lost initiative and withdrew in disarray along the Benisheikh - Damaturu axis, - abandoning a damaged utility Gun truck which was earmarked to convey looted items. EFCC ARRESTS FACEBOOK HACKER.{PHOTO}.

       Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Port Harcourt's Zonal Office have arrested a notorious FaceBook accounts hacker, Okohwan Kelvin; he was arrested recently in Warri, Delta State. His arrest followed discreet monitoring of his online activities, based on complaints from members of the public alleging that he hacked and took over their FaceBook accounts, after they clicked on a phisting link he sent to them. Preliminary investigations showed that Kelvin had hacked about one hundred FaceBook accounts using phishing links generated from an online hacking website. It was also discovered that the suspect was selling hacked FaceBook accounts to other fraudsters who were using them for various nefarious online activities. In some cases, he used many of the accounts himself to defraud friends of his victims. He would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
