EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                                     A final year Computer Science student of the Anambra State University,Mohammed Umar,was shot dead on his way from a Students Union event on friday according to a Facebook User {Ikejiuba Olivis} who posted the news on her wall.It is still unclear as to why the deceased was shot and who perpetrators of the acts are.The facebook user Ikejiuba Olivia wrote ''Its still a shock to me...My Mohammed...We went to sug nite together...we had fun....on our way back home...U were murdered....I don't have much to say but rip dear friend...I can still remember all DAT u told me DAT evening.#iwillnevaforgetyhu#mohammedumar#goinpeace.One more photo below.

TO CELEBRATE WORKERS DAY,AMOSUN APPROVED THE PAYMENT OF WITHHELD SALARIES OF WORKERS WHO EMBARKED ON A STRIKE IN OCT 2016.

                The  State Commissioner for For Finance,Mr Adewale Oshinowo,made this known in a statement in Abeokuta on thursday.He noted that the governor gave the approval on monday.The Ogun Government had invoked the ''No Work,No Pay'' policy and witheld the salaries of the workers who participated in the strike.However,the commissioner stated that with the payment approval,the government had pardoned the workers,which followed the intervention of traditional rulers in the state,who pleaded on their behalf.The commissioner said The government's action was in the spirit of this year's Workers Day celebration scheduled for May 1.He added that the development was a further testimony to the state governmebt's commitment to the welfare of workers.While wishing workers happy May Day celebration,Oshiniwo indicated that ''the release also indicated that the state government had paid the April salary of its entire workforce''.He urged them to rec
