  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. EFCC GRADUATES 331 DETECTIVE CADETS ON FRIDAY.{PHOTOS}.

                    The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC on January 13,2017 graduated 331 detective cadets trained alongside 1498 officers of the Nigerian Air Force at the Ground Training School,Nigerian Air Force Base,Kaduna.The colorful passing out parade climaxed 6 months of rigorous training to equip the officers in becoming anti-graft warriors instilled with discipline and integrity.Speaking at the occasion,the Chief of Air Staff,Air Marshall S.B.Abubkar,who doubles as the Reviewing Officer,congratulated the operatives of the EFCC for their gallantry and brilliance.''I want to congratulate the operatives,I am sure you will find the training useful in your career'' he said.Abubakar,while listing the qualities exhibited by the new operatives of the EFCC said ,''I have been briefed that you demonstrated commitment,hard work and courage during training.These attributes are essential in your career progression''.More photos below.

                       As part of the clearance operations of remnants and fleeing Boko Haram terroristss in the north east,troops have continuously been carrying out raids,patrols and codon operations.It is in that regards that troops of 112 Task Force Battalion,22 Brigade,Nigeria Ary on Operation LAFIYA DOLE,conducted joint operations with vigilantes and civilian JTF in suspected Boko Haram terrorists hide outs in their area of responsibility .Within the last two days,they  have carried out quite a number of patrols and clearance operations in various villages and towns in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State.On thursday 13th January 2017,with the assistance of some local vigilantes and civilian JTF,the troops carried out fighting patrols and clearance operations in Awada and Sinbaya villages.During the operations,the troops met stiff resistance towards Sinbaya from suspected Boko Haram terrorists in which they neutralized 8 terrorists.They also carried out similar clearance op
