 ANAMBRA STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL INSPECTS NEW HIGH COURT COMPLEX: EXPRESSES SATISFACTION  By Chinelo Okeke  The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Anambra State, Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN, on  Monday, June 1st, 2026, conducted an inspection visit to the state's new High Court building,Complex currently under construction behind the Judiciary Headquarters off Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka. Nweke led the team of Commissioners that accompanied him to the inspection which are Arch. Henry Arinze, Commissioner for Housing, with Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, Commissioner for Physical and Urban Development. Attorney General toured the facility and expressed strong satisfaction with the progress and quality of work on the project. Speaking during the inspection, Nweke described the structure as solid and befitting of a modern judicial institution.                Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court in Lagos today monday,declared that it is unconstitutional to deploy military for the supervision of election without the approval of the National Assembly.The ruling of the court was sequel to a suit filed by Femi Gbajabiamila,a member of the House of Representatives representing Surulere Federal constituency 2,under the platform of All Progressives Congress,APC against President Goodluck Jonathan,Chief of Defence staff,Chief of Army staff,Chief of Air staff,Chief of Naval staff and the Attorney General of the Federation.In his argument,Seni Adio,Lawyer to the plaintiff,argued that there was an allegation and evidence that the military inhibited free movement,free access and intimidation of voters in of Osun,Ekiti,and Anambra state where the military were deployed during the governorship elections in those states.He also argued further that it is not ideal to deploy the military to sup...
