 Edo Mayhem: Police Confirm 7 Deaths, Arrest of 14 Suspects A tragic incident occurred in Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area of Edo State, resulting in the deaths of seven people suspected to be kidnappers. According to Moses Yamu, spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, 14 suspects have been arrested in connection with the killings. The incident unfolded on March 27, 2025, when a truck conveying 25 travelers from Port Harcourt was accosted by vigilante group members at Uromi. Some of the travelers were found with locally made dane guns and were arrested. However, the situation escalated, and 16 of the occupants were attacked and lynched by the vigilantes and passersby. Police operatives swiftly intervened, rescuing 10 of the travelers, two of whom sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment.                                   The female victim is identifie as Adekemi Faboro,who teaches at a private nursey and primary school,in Ojota,died at her residence in Ogba area of Lagos state,last weekend while on a date with her married facebook lover,identified as Christopher Ezekiel,for the first time.Christopher Ezekiel an engineer staff of an electrical company based in Shagamu and who resides at 8,Orelope street,Ibadan,is a father of two,came from Ibadan,Oyo state,to visit Adekemi in Lagos state,for the first time.On that fateful day,it was revealed that after their date,Adekemi started coughing severely at midnight in her home at 5 Folorunsho street,off Ajayi road,Ogba.Her neighbours suspected that there was a fowl play and immediately rushed her to Ifako General Hospital where she died.Christopher Ezekiel was arrested at Pen cinema police station,in connection with her death.Her body has been d...
