 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

LASSA FEVER OUTBREAK IN RIVERS STATE,CLAIMED 2 LIVES.

                             Rivers state Government has just confirmed the outbreak of LASA Fever in the state,which has claimed the lives of two persons so far.The River state Commissioner for Health,Dr.Theophilous Odageme who confirmed the outbreak today in a statement enjoined the members of the public not to panic because the state government had taken a proactive measure to contain an outbreak.The statement urged members of the public to report any of such symptoms as persistenthigh fever,stooling,vomiting,bleeding from the nose,mouth and anus.He advised members of the public to maintain good hygiene and quickly report any case of Lassa Fever to the nearest Health Centre or Hospital urgent attention.One more photo below.

COUPLES IN CHINA,NO LONGER NEED AN APPROVAL FROM THE GOVERNMENT TO HAVE A SECOND CHILD.

                    A document released by the central government and ruling Communist Party today tuesday in Beijing said families would be able to independently arrange child-bearing under the new policy,without applying for approval.The National Health and Family Planning Commission had said in October that couples would still need approval at first.The document released said the implementation of the policy would begin this year,without giving a date.A source said the two child policy was itself a relaxation of the one child policy that led to forced abortions and infanticides for decades.The source further said ''Beijing hopes to reduce the pressure of the ageing population.About 90 million families may qualify for the new two child policy''. KANO PILLARS FOOTBALL CLUB,SACKED 10 PLAYERS.

             Idris Malikawa,Media Officer of the Club {Kanu Pillars Football Club} made this known in an interview with NAN on Tuesday in Kano.Malikawa said the 10 player were sacked based on medical ground and poor performance.''The management of the club felt the only way to make headway in the plan to have a goodseason in the NPFL is to weed out 10 aged and unproductive players.This is to make way for new boys that will strengthen the team''.He said the team had already resumed training ahead of this year's campaign,assuring that transfer formalities would be completed on time.He further said that the club would recruit new players to beef up the team in some critical areas''.One more photo below.
