The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. Coups: Expert Says Nigeria Has No Cause For Alarm, Urges FG To Reopen Borders A security expert in Katsina State, Ibrahim Ahmad, is advising the Federal Government to revisit and relax its border closure policy with a view to alleviating the sufferings of the citizens. The management of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) has again reiterated that the facility is not culpable in the alleged missing intestines of a patient referred to the hospital after surgery in a private hospital. A statement issued by LASUTH debunked the insinuation made by the mother of the patient in a viral video on social media that the alleged loss of her son’s intestines after surgery is a matter between the private hospital and LASUTH.  According to the statement, LASUTH is an excellent tertiary institution with highly knowledgeable and skilled medical consultants and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Teenagers Develop Hydrogen Gas, Radio Transmitter, others In Kano Talented teenagers in Kano, under the guidance of the Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD), have developed a radio transmitter, hydrogen gas, farm sprayer, and remote-controlled vehicle as part of their mentorship in electronic systems development. Man, 43, dies in Kwara fish pond An unidentified 43- year- old man has died in a fish pond in Ilorin, Kwara state capital. Spokesperson of Fire Service Hassan Adekunle said that the yet-to-be-identified deceased was gathering herbal leaves before the unfortunate incident. According to Adekunle: “Kwara State Fire Service responded to an emergency call at Alibarika community in Ogidi, Ilorin South Local Government area, Kwara State, at approximately 6:24am on Saturday. “The firefighters conducted a rescue operation and tragically discovered the lifeless body of an unidentified man, approximately 43 years of age, in an abandoned fish pond.  “It is believed that the cause of this unfortunate incident was the man accidentally slipped into the pond, which was concealed by overgrown grasses.  “He was near the pond, attempting to gather herbal leaves when the accident occurred. “Following the successful recovery operation, the Kwara Fire Service personnel handed over the deceased to the author
