 First Lady of Nigeria, Remi Tinubu empowers 250 elderly in Anambra Nigeria’s first lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has empowered 250 vulnerable elderly indigents of Anambra State with N250,000 cash through her Renewed Hope Initiative Elderly Support Scheme, aimed at promoting the well-being of the elderly citizens and ensuring they live with dignity and joy. The scheme, themed ‘Finding joy in old age’, is in its third edition and it’s designed to support 250 vulnerable elderly citizens from the age of 65 and above in all the 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory and veterans from the Defence and Police Officers’ Wives Association. According to the scheme, the total sum to be disbursed to the 9,500 targeted beneficiaries across the country is N1.9 billion, as approved by the Governing Board of the Renewed Hope Initiative.         Oprah winfrey turned 6o years today and Ellen DeGeneres,gave her a special gift which is a portrait and she showed off her gift to Oprah on her show.When she tried to put a call to Oprah,it turned out is a recording of Oprah's voice of different words she has said in the past.For example ''I bought you an airline and new outfits and a hotel and Nicole Kidman''.She mixed it up to make it sound hilarious.More pictures below.

275 BOKO HARAM SUSPECTS WERE RELEASED AND 19 PROBED BY THE RIVER STATE POLICE.

     The suspects were released around 3.45pm on wednesday on the directive of the state police commissioner Mr Joseph Mbu.No reason was given for their release and am sure that the police would sooner or later because it is not sounding good though when athe police have no concrete proof about a suspect,they have no choice but to release that suspect.
