 Fubara, Wike’s fight about money sharing — Amaechi A former Rivers State governor, Rotimi Amaechi, has declared that the feud between the suspended governor of the oil-rich state, Siminalayi Fubara, and his predecessor, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is about money sharing. Amaechi said this in an interview with DW Africa on Saturday. The ex-governor also said the emergency rule imposed on the state by President Bola Tinubu was unconstitutional. He said, “The fight between the current governor of Rivers State and the FCT minister is about sharing money. If not, what is the quarrel?  Nigerians don’t dislike corruption anymore. WONDER BANK OPERATOR JAILED THREE YEARS IN SOKOTO.{PHOTO}.

      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Sokoto Zonal Office, today, February 17, 2020, secured the conviction of one Amina Kabo (a.k.a Fauziyya) before Justice Mohammed Mohammed of the Sokoto State High Court sitting in Sokoto. She was convicted on a one-count amended charge bordering on Cheating to the tune of N907, 500 (Nine Hundred and SevenThousand, Five Hundred Naira). Kabo, a fake manager at Olive Micro Finance Bank,  who allegedly collected the sum from 108 victims, pleaded guilty to the charge when she was arraigned. In view of her plea, the prosecution counsel, Buhari Mohammed Balarabe, asked the court to convict and sentence the defendant in line with the plea bargain agreement. However, the defence counsel, Shamsu A. Dauda, pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy as his client was a first time offender who has become remorseful.
