       The attention of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has been drawn to some media reports insinuating that the recent air strikes conducted by its Air Task Force for Operation DIRAN MIKIYA killed only innocent civilians in the areas attacked and not bandits. The NAF finds such reports rather ridiculous because most of the locations attacked are within the Rugu, Sububu and Kagara Forests general area, which are known armed bandits hideouts that have been attacked in the past, without any outcry. Besides, the NAF target selection process for air operations is particularly rigorous and methodical in order to ensure proper target identification and thereby prevent strikes on wrong locations.          The Lagos State Government has commenced steps to complete the ongoing renovation of Ayinke House (Maternity Hospital) at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja for commissioning before the end of the present administration. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works & Infrastructure, Engr. Jimi Hotonu, who stated this during an inspection tour of the facility on Thursday, said that on completion, the renovated ‘A yinke House’ will boast of state-of-the-art equipment specifically designed to cater for the health and well-being of mothers and newborns.       The Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, Maiduguri zonal office, has arraigned one Hurso Abba Amma, a lawyer, before Justice Fadawu Umar of the Borno State High court, sitting in Maiduguri on two separate charges. Amma is alleged to have fraudulently induced one Alhaji Ahmed Kois Abdulkarim to deliver to him the sum of N7 million, under the false pretence that he was selling two plots of land to him as the beneficiary owner.       The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, has commended troops of Sector 2, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Damaturu Yobe State, for inflicting a deadly blow on Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) when the bandits attempted to attack Maisandari village at the outskirts of Damaturu on Tuesday the 9th of April, 2019.
