  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. 7 DAYS AFTER THE KENYAN BUILDING COLLAPSE,THE DEATH TOLL HAS REACHED 42 TODAY.

                     Today friiday according to the Kenya police,the death toll from the colapse of a building in the Kenyan capital a week ago has reached 42.Rescue workers have been pulling bodies from heaps of shattered and twisted concrete at the site in Nairobi's Huruma district since the multi-storey residential structure came down during torrential rain.On thursday four people were pulled out alive.Japheth Koome,Nairobi police commander told pressmen that ''140 people have so far been rescued alive after the building collapsed seven days ago''.Kenyan police detained two brothers who owned the building and three local government officials for questioning but they have since been released on bail and are yet to be charged with any crime.Their Interior Ministry has said the building,built close to a river,had been earmarked for demolition,but local authorities had not acted on the order.More photos below.

                                         A Chinese billionaire pays for 2,500 staff to go on holiday to Spain after previously taking his company to Paris and Cote d'Azur.Li Jinyuan,a generous Chinese billionaire boss is taking his employees to a five day trip to Madrid.The trip,which includes visits to Toledo and Barcelona,is estimated to have cost 7 million euros .Atotal of 1,650 hotel rooms have bben booked for their stay while 70 tour buses were hired to transport them to different attractions.Last year,it was reported that Li Jinyuan himself chaperoned 6,400 of his employees to Paris and Cote d'Azur.He booked up 140 hotels in Paris and another 79 in Cannes and Monaco for the extravagant trip.More photos below.                                                                                                                                                        

A HOUSE-KEEPER,JAILED 5 YEARS TODAY FOR STEALING HIS BOSSES JEWELLERY & MONEY IN LEKKI.

                        According to the Nation,an Igbosere Magistrate Court,Lagos today friday sentenced a 22 year old housekeeper,Kennedy George,to five years imprisonment for stealing his employer's jewellery and cash worth N6.3 million.Presiding Magistrate,Mrs A.T Omoyele,convicted George after he admitted to stealing his boss Automated Teller Machine {ATM} card to withdraw the money.The housekeeper,however claimed he was not the only one that spent the money.George,who lived with his employer,was arraigned on June 19,2015,on a three count charge of conspiracy and stealing preferred against him by the police.He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted N250,000 bail with the two sureties in like sum.Prosecuting police Corporal,Cyriacus Osuji,told the court that George and others at large committed the offences between February 6,2015 and June 2015,at about 10:00am ,at No. 3A,Iron Bar Street,Lekki Phase 1,Lagos.Osuji alleged that the defendant stole the sum of N300,000 a

NIGERIAN ARMY AVERTED ANOTHER ATTACK ON DANSADAU TOWN ON WEDNESDAY,BY SUSPECTED CATTLE RUSTLERS.{PHOTOS}.

                       Troops of 223 Battalion,1 Brigade Nigerian Army have averted another attack on Dansadau town by suspected cattle rustlers and armed bandits on wednesday 4th May 2016.The troops who were on patrol were on patrol were alerted by well meaning individuals on seeing the bandits.The patrol team laid an ambush for the suspected cattle rustlers and armed bandits who came in large numbers on motorcycles fully armed.It was gathered that they were enroute Ruwan Tofa and Babban Doka villages in Dansadau District of Maru Local Government Area,Zamfara state to wreck havoc on the haless innocents of those communities.The troops killed 18 and wounded several armed bandit,They also recovered 11 AK-47 rifles,1 G3 rifles,1 locally made pistol,11 magazines of AK-47 rifles and 161 rounds of 7.62mm {Special} ammunitions.The troops went further and destroyed the bandits camp at Babban Doka general area.They are also combing the area for the remnants of the bandits and all those that es
