                Following credible and confirmed information about the convergence of some elements of suspected Boko Haram terrorists at Jarawa village,Kala Balge Local Government Area,Borno State,troops of 3 Battalion,22 Brigade Nigerian Army of Operation LAFIYA DOLE,in conjuction with some Civilian JTF on sunday 11th June 2017,carried out a successful clearance operation along that axxis.At abot a Kiilometre to Jarawa village,the troops entered heavy Boko Haram terroristss ambush,which they successfully cleared after about some minutes of fire fight.They followed it up in hot pursuit of the fleeing insurgent into the nearby forest.The troops were able to neutralize a large number of Boko Haram terrorists including the notorious Abu Naazir,the terrorists Amir in Jarawa during the operation.They also captured several weapons including an AK-47 rifle,1 Double barrel gun,1 primed heavy improvised Explosive Device {IED} and 3 Motorcycles.Additionall...

                    The Lagos State Government today tuesday refuted reports that it was planning to replace the statues of late Chief MKO Abiola and late Chief Gani Fawehinmi at the Ojota parks with another monument.Acting Commissioner for Tourism,Arts and Culture,Hon.              The Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,today Tuesday June 13,2017 arraigned Oladapo Oladejo,Olayinka Kayode Alfred and Adelabu Igbagboyemi Grace before Justice J.O. Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan,Oyo State on a 3-count charge bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretence.The defendants however,pleaded not guilty to all charges.In view of their plea,prosecution counsel,Edeola Elumaro prayed the court for a trial date.However,counsel to the defendants,Babatunde Ajijola prayed the court for a short adjournment to enable them bring a formal bail application before the court.Justice Abdulmalik thereafter ordered that the defendants be remanded in the Prison custody pending the hearing and determination of their bail application.The case is adjourned to June 30,2017 for trial.The journey to the dock for the defendants began sometime in October,2016 when a petitioner...

               Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court,Abuja has granted the embattled Chairman of Atlantic Energy Brass Development Limited,Jide Omokore,who is standing trial for a N1.6 billion oil scam,the permission to travel abroad between July 11,2017 and September 10,2017.The trial judge has also fixed July 5,2017 to rule on an application challenging the jurisdiction of the court to entertain the matter.The application was brought by Abiye Membere,a former Group Executive Director,Exploration and Production of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation,NNPC.Omokore and his companies are standing trial along with Membere,Victor Briggs,former managing director of Nigerian Petroleum Development Company,NPDC;and David Mbanefo,Manager,Planning and Commercial of the NNPC.They were re-arraigned on November 21,2016 on a nine-count amended charge,of criminal diversion of about $1.6 billion alleged to be proceeds of petroleum products belong...
