 NO ABANDONMENT, NO NEW AWARDS: FG SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON MOROCCO SCHOLARSHIPS The Federal Government has firmly debunked misleading narratives circulating in some quarters regarding Nigerian scholarship students in the Kingdom of Morocco, describing such claims as false, unfounded, and deliberately crafted to misinform the public. The Honourable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, has clarified that no Nigerian student on a valid Federal Government scholarship has been abandoned. All beneficiaries duly enrolled under the Bilateral Education Scholarship (BES) Programme prior to 2024 have received payments up to the 2024 budget year, in line with the Federal Government’s obligations. Any temporary delays in outstanding payments are attributable to fiscal constraints and are currently being addressed through ongoing engagements between the Federal Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance. THOUSANDS OF NAIRA WAS LOST AS FORMER POLICE HEADQUARTERS ALMOST BURNT TO THE GROUND TODAY.

                 According to my correspondence,there was a fire out break today friday morning in one of the offices on the last floor of the old police force Headquarters building,on Moloney street,Lagos state.Men of the fire service prevented the fire from spreading to other offices in the building.The cause of the fire outbreak could not be ascertained but eyewitnesses claimed the fire broke out moments after electricity was restored to the building.We thank God ohhhhh.

POLICE IN PAKISTAN,ARRESTED AL-QAEDA COMMANDER IN KARACHI.

                According to the Pakistan authorities,Al-Qaeda commander,was arrested by the Pakisran police.Shahid Usman and four other suspects were arrested in the Southern city of Karachi late on thursday.The Commander is heading a new wing of Al-Qaeda,newly created in South Asian.The police seized weapons and 10kg {22lb} of explosives.A senior officer at the police counter terrorism unit said Usman was in his mid 30's,lived in Defence,a wealthy neighbourhood,and owned a car parts dealership business in one of the city's most expensive commercial areas,unlike the usual militant profile.Usman comes from an affluent background.
