 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got married in Italy today ❤️(22.05.22). This will be Kourtney and Travis' third wedding. They got married in Los Angeles on April 4 and had their legal wedding on May 15 at a Santa Barbara courthouse. This is their third and final wedding. Dolce &Gabbana and his wife Skye are in Italy to attend the wedding of Travis Barker and Machine Gun Kelly guests are being marked by boats decorated by Mark Hoppus where also Kourtney Kardashian is present. They both got married at Portofino Italy.  More update later and more photos below.

FRIENDS DEMAND JUSTICE FOR A DOMESTIC ABUSE VICTIM WHO WAS KILLED AFTER SHE DECIDED TO LEAVE HER ALLEGEDLY TOXIC EX Friends are demanding justice for a South African woman who was killed while trying to leave her allegedly abusive boyfriend. Singwa Namhla Mtwa, 34, suffered abuse for years in the hands of her long term boyfriend Major Mfesane Bhekezu, friends say. In one incident, she was allegedly beaten by her boyfriend with a leather belt for 8 hours. She decided to leave the toxic relationship but was shot 9 times in the driveway at her home, in April 21, 2022. South African Twitter users are now demanding justice for the deceased. Though her boyfriend has not been charged for her murder, Twitter users suggest he might have a hand in her death but they alleged no one wants to do anything about it because he is "untouchable" and a very connected businessman.

Gov Abiodun appoints Dr. Fatungase new CMD of OOUTH Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has approved the appointment of Dr (Mrs) Oluwabunmi Motunrayo Fatungase as the substantive Chief Medical Director of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu. Prior to her appointment at the weekend, Dr Fatungase has been operating in acting capacity as the CMD of the tertiary health institution, since April 2021. According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Kunle Somorin, the new head of the OOUTH, Sagamu, is an alumnus of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, and has been a medical practitioner for over 24 years. Kumuyi Cancels Aba Crusade After IPOB’s Warning The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, has cancelled his planned crusade in Aba, Abia State, The PUNCH has learnt. It was gathered that Kumuyi cancelled the crusade due to security concerns in the South-East geopolitical zone. The crusade was scheduled to hold in Aba from May 24 to May 29, 2022 but the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra told the 80-year-old cleric not to go ahead with the crusade. An official of the Global Crusade With Kumuyi confirmed the cancellation of the Aba crusade in a telephone chat with The PUNCH on Saturday, and noted that a new venue would be announced for the crusade. TROOPS DISLODGE IPOB/ESN TRAINING CAMP, NEUTRALIZE TWO WANTED CRIMINALS  Troops of 34 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in conjunction with operatives of the Department of State Service on Friday 20 May 2022, dislodged a training camp of the proscribed Indigeneous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN) at Okporo in Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State.  The troops dislodged the training camp after exchanging fire with the dissidents, neutralizing two notorious members of the group, who have been on the wanted list of security agencies and have been terrorising residents in the general area of Orlu, Orsu and Njaba.  The troops equally destroyed the training shed and other facilities used by the separatists, including a shrine, which members of the outlawed group reportedly use for spiritual fortification. WHO Advocates Physical Exercise As Panacea For Sickness  The World Health Organization, WHO, has advocated physical exercise as solution to the high burden of diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer, and other chronic diseases. The WHO Country representative, Dr Walter Mulumbo who stated this at the third edition of the global “Walk the Talk” health challenge exercise in the FCT metropolis, said, the Health for All Challenge event is aimed at raising awareness on health issues and the need for exercises that promote healthy lifestyle. He said ‘’Walk the Talk’’ movement is a practical example of exhibiting WHO’s advice to the world to promote health. NGO Trains Commercial Sex Workers On Confectionery Making In Awka A Non-Governmental Organization, Save Young Girls Motherhood Foundation, has taken commercial sex workers at Club Road, Awka, through confectionery training. According to the NGO, the aim of the training was to teach the girls a positive alternative to earning, and strategically take their minds away from the odd job. The NGO has been championing a novel campaign since September of 2021, to rescue young girls who are into commercial sex business, with major target being those operating in Anambra State. At Club Roaf, Awka, formerly, popularly known as Abakiliki Street, the girls were taught how to bake cake and meat pie. However, one thing that stood out from the training was the keen interest with which all the girls followed through the whole process, suspending their presumably busy schedules.
