Christmas Of Sorrows For Landlord, Tenants Of Building Razed By Fire In Awka. It was tears, pains and sorrow for the Landlord and tenants of No. 8 Amangwu Lane, Opposite White House, Umudioka Awka, as fierce fire consumed an entire building of fifteen rooms and two sitting rooms.  Speaking with newsmen who arrived the scene of the fire incident, the visibly shaken Landlord of the building, Mr. Ikechukwu Umeh revealed that the unfortunate fire incident, started in the early hours of yesterday December 24 and consumed the whole building. Mr. Umeh said he was already out for his business when he started getting calls that his house was on fire.  In tears, he told ABS that the house was his entire life's effort and he lost all his valuable properties and that of his tenants. Gunmen Attack Southern Kaduna Community Again After Mass Burial Gunmen have again attacked Kagoro, in Mallagum-Kagoro, Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State. DAILY POST reports that the Southern Kaduna community was attacked again Friday night, a day after the mass burial of those killed earlier. The attack was carried out between the hours of 9pm to 10pm by the gunmen who started shooting sporadically. A source, who spoke to DAILY POST, stated that the gunmen came in their large numbers, fully armed. He added, “While the gunmen were shooting sporadically and the people were running for their safety, the timely intervention of the military saved the situation and no life was lost.” The State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muhammed Jalige could not be reached for comment.

Muslim Group Attends Christmas Service In Kaduna A Muslim group, on Sunday, attended a Christmas church service at one of the largest denominations in Zaria, Kaduna State, as a sign of love and efforts to strengthen religious tolerance. The prayer session was held at the Church of Brethren in Nigeria (Ekkelisiyar `Yan Uwa Ta Nigeria (EYN), Samaru, Sabon Gari, Zaria, Kaduna State. The group also presented a gift to the church to further stem love to boost religious tolerance between the two faiths. Speaking to newsmen after the service, the leader of the team, Prof Isah Mshelgaru, said the essence of attending the service was to rejoice with Christians on the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. UZODIMMA APPROVES FREE BUSES FOR IMOLITES TRAVELING FROM LAGOS TO IMO -FREE FUEL TO ALL COMMERCIAL MOTORISTS IN THE STATE In the spirit of Christmas, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has approved for All Imo City Transport commercial (ICT) bus drivers and Commercial Motorcycle (OKADA) riders operating in Imo State to proceed to Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Square (Former Heroes Square) on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, by 7:00 am to collect free fuel tickets.  In the same vein, the Governor approved free buses from Lagos to Imo state for Imolites.  This is part of Governor Hope Uzodimma's effort in putting smiles on the faces of Imo state commercial bus drivers and Okada operators this season as a result of the Hike in Fuel Pump Prices.
