 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria.                            Mr Akinwunmi Ambode today tuesday carried out on the spot assessment of traffic situation as well as the condition of road  networks in Apapa and other major axis of the state.The Governor,who visited major axis in Apapa such as Creek Road,Liverpool Road,BUA Corridor,expressed dissatisfaction with the state of affairs where containerized trucks have completely taken over the roads.Speaking to journalists shortly after his tour today tuesday,the Governor of Lagos state urged the Federal Government to accelerate work on the Apapa Container Terminal Bridge,which he said on completion,will go a long way to ease traffic in the axis.''We are pleading with the Federal Government to make sure that Julius Berger returns to site and alleviate the challenges that motorists are facing.But so far so good,we have seen some parts of Apapa that is now motorable.We believe strongly that once the Bridge is completed,the Container Terminal will be put to use.The Contain

AL-SHABAAB MILITANT GROUP,RELEASED A NEW EXECUTION VIDEO OF SOLDIERS.

             Somali Islamist group al-Shabaab has released a new videos that showed them executing soldiers believed to be part of the African Union troops they kidnapped during an attack on their base in Somalia in September.The video was reported by SITE Intelligence Group  yesterday tuesday .It shows armed fighters tearing through what looks to be a camp for Ugandan troops.Al-Shabaab said that it killed more than 50 Ugandan troops in the attack on a base for peacekeepers in the town of Janele.Ugandan officials however reported only 19 deaths.Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni was reported to have said that al-shabaab may have taken some prisoners and blamed the commanders for being asleep when the attack happened.This particular video shows an alleged Ugandan prisoner in handcuffs and other soldiers being shot at close range by the group's militants.One more photo below.     

A WOMAN SOLD HER THREE YEAR OLD GRANDSON TO A RITUALIST FOR N100,000 IN ABIA STATE.

               According to the Nigerian Police Command in Abia state,who confirmed yesterday tuesday that a woman allegedly sold her three year old grandson to a ritualist.The Command's apokesman,DSP Udeviotu Onyeke told pressmen that the woman was in the custody of the police in Umuobiakwa,as investigation continues.He said that part of the investigation being carried out was to determine the sanity of the woman.The woman,who hailed from Onitsha Ngwa in Obingwa Local Government of the state,had left the village with the child and returned a week later to report that he was missing. Sources in the village said  that when the suspect was questioned about the missing boy,her response trigered suspicion,thereby prompting the villagers to invite the police.The suspect allegedly told the police that she sold the boy for N100,000 to a native doctor in Akwa Ibom and wanted to use the money to buy a motorcycle before the end of the year.The police spokesman however said that the woman had

BUHARI SACKED ABOUT 17 PERMANENT SECRETARIES TODAY.

                       President Muhannadu Buhari has sacked some permanent secretaries ahead of tomorrow's swearing in of ministers.Buhari revealed their sack at a meeting with the Chief of Staff to the President,Abba Kyari,and the Head of Civil Service of the Federation,Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita.The Sack is believed to affect at least 17 permanent secretaries.using the opportunity to assess the performances of the PS.

           According to a football official who confirmed that the Golden Eaglets,who won the fifth  FIFA Under 17 World Cup on monday after they defeated Mali 2-0 in an all African final in Vena Del Mar,Chile.Nigeria has previously won the under 17 World cup in 1985,199,2007 and 201,but this is the first time Nigeria is winning the tournament outside Asia.The officiall said ''The Golden eaglets will land in Abuja between 2:00pm and three pm on wednesday.The team will be on Emirate flight from Dubai''.
