 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country.                        Yesterday friday night,67 years old Grace Jones,performed with a tribal body suit but topless.She was headlining Brooklyn's Afropunk festival and she wore a chain headpiece that onceal her shorter hairstyle.She maintained her modesty with her flesh coloured lingerie that was decorated with white tribal design.Grace was accompanied on stage at the fancy dress ball by similarly scanty clad dancers.After she arrived on stage in a cape and mask,she started undressing as the performance went on.She expressed her excitement for the performance on facebook ahead of the event,saying ''I am coming for you Brooklyn,this friday at the AFROPUNK Fancy Dress Ball.You better dress to impress me''.More photos below.                                                           ...

8,700 STRONG FORCE,AGREED TO BE DEPLOYED FROM NIGERIA AND OTHER COUNTRIES,TO FIGHT BOKO HARAM.

                   Today saturday,Military chiefs from the Lake Chad region have finalised details of the deployment of a joint force to fight Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram,designating three command posts in Nigeria and Cameroon.At a two day meeting in N'Djamena,which concluded late yesterday friday,Military commanders from Nigeria,Chad,Niger,Cameroon and Benin agreed to accelerate the deployment of the 8,700 strong force,which will have its overall command center in the Chadian capital.A military source said ''We have finalised the details of the deployment of troops.The force commanders will inspect the sites of the barracks in the coming days.Two command posts for the joint force in Nigeria would be in Baga,on the shores of Lake Chad,and in Gambaru,on the border with Cameroon.The third command post would be established further south in the Cameroonian town of Mora,on the other side of the border from the Nigerian settlement of Gw...

POLICE IN NSUKKA,ARRESTED 2 MASQUERADE TODAY FOR ROBBING ONE MR CHINONSO.

                 According to the Nigerian police,two masquerade was arrested today in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu state for allegedly beating up a passenger Mr Chinonso Ezewaji {who deals on clothing materials} on a commercial motorcycle {popularly known in Nigeria as Okada},and robbing him of N57,000.They beat him,searched him and collected his N57,000.When they left he ran into the bush and when he discovered they have gone some distance,he came out and went to report the police.The incident happened on the Nsukka/Oballa-Afor highway.A police source said policemen were moved to the scene when the victim Chinonso Ezewaji,reported the matter to Nsukka Police Area Command and the two men were arrested.The escorts of the masquerades ran away.''There were eight masquerades,they blocked the Nsukka/Obollo-Afor road and harassed people.The two masquerades arrested however denied collecting the N57,000 from Mr Chinonso,but claimed they kn...

               According to some residents in Ile-Ife today saturday said that the palace town criers were going round the town announcing that residents especially commercial drivers and motorcyclists should stay indoors between 7a.m and 6pm.That will enable the Oro deity perform the necessary rite for the late Ooni of Ife.It was gathered that the Head of the Oro cult in Ife,the Awara of Iwara,Oba Layi Adereti had ordered the curfew,warning that anyone who flouted the order,irrespective of age or gender would face its consequences.However,residents were apprehensive of the curfew,that they rushed to the few available markets to get essentials that will last them for the day.Since last week friday,major market in Ife had been shut down ever since the burial rites started.As a result of the curfew,some Heads of Departments in the Obafemi Aolowo University,Ile-Ife cancelled the continuous assessment tests for their students earlier scheduled to hold...

               Vlekete slave market was established in 1502 and it serves as a meeting point for European slaves merchants,African middlemen and slaves brought from hinter lands for auctioning.Vlekete slave market was one of the slave markets in Nigeria and the other slave market was situated in Calabar called Eyon slave market,in which slaves were also auctioned but Vlekete slave market in Badagry was the largest and most populated.The market used to be opened for business every 2 days and nothing less than 900 slaves were sold from this very slave market per week.Slaves were auctioned for mere commodities like iron bars,mirror,cotton,dry gin,whisky,cannons,gun powder,gun and other assorted spirits.It was recorded that a cannon was used in exchange for 2 able bodied men/souls.It was thought to be a profitable business for European merchants,Trans Atlantic slave trade was providing a booming market for the European manufacturers and companies this...
