 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. Woman arrests kidnapper of her daughter in Zaria A suspect who reportedly abducted a girl in Zaria and demanded ransom for her release has been arrested by the girl’s mother. A source told DAILY POST that one Aminu Ibrahim, aged 35, was suspected to have abducted a young woman, Fatima Adamu, aged 23, who he allegedly killed and buried her. Speaking at her residence, the mother of the kidnapped young woman, Mallama Nana Fatima while speaking at her residence could not explain further due to her grief at the incident. Hajara Adamu, a younger sister to the victim, explained that Fatima had travelled to Kaduna with the intention of spending four days, saying that several phone calls were put to her without response when she did not return at the stipulated time. Tribunal Declares Election of 26-yr-old Kwara Female Lawmaker Inconclusive, Orders Rerun The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ilorin has nullified the election of Miss Rukayat Shittu of the All Progressives Congress (APC). 26-year-old Miss Shittu was declared winner of the Owode-Onire constituency of Asa Local Government Area in the March 18, 2023 state House of Assembly election. 1st October, 2023 PRESS RELEASE FIRE INCIDENT AT UGBENU KOKO JUNCTION ETHIOPE WEST LGA COMMISSIONER OF POLICE DELTA STATE, CP WALE ABASS DEEPLY COMMISERATE WITH FAMILIES OF THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE TRAGIC INCIDENT In the early hours of today 1/10/2023 0200hrs, the Command recorded a tragic incident where a tanker laden with PMS being driven towards Benin along Warri - Benin Road fell down upon getting to Ugbenu Koko Junction. Its content spilled into the nearby swamp, and the spillage attracted couple of youths who took advantage of the incident and started scooping the fuel into jerry cans and other containers. While they were at it, an explosion erupted and the fire from the explosion engulfed the whole area. PRESS STATEMENT ON THE MEETING BETWEEN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND LEADERSHIP OF THE NIGERIA LABOUR CONGRESS (NLC), AND TRADE UNION CONGRESS (TUC). All Workers To Benefit From Provisional Wage Increment - Gbajabiamila Federal Government and the labour unions ended up their meeting with an agreement that all categories of workers should benefit from the wage increment announced by President Bola Tinubu in the National broadcast.
