OYO RESTRICTS MOVEMENT ON SATURDAY FROM 6AM-4PM.(PHOTO).

 Oyo restricts movement on Saturday from 6am – 4pm Movement would be restricted for the duration of Saturday’s local government election in Oyo State, the State Government announced on Friday evening. The restriction will help officials of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) to conduct the poll without hindrance. Election would hold into councillorship and chairmanship positions in the 33 local government areas of the State between 8 am and 3 pm. In an update on its verified ‘x’ handle on Friday evening, it said: “Please note this important announcement regarding movement restrictions in Oyo State on Saturday 27, April 2024 “The Oyo State Government has declared total restriction of movement tomorrow, Saturday, 27th of April 2024, the restriction will be in place from 0600 hours to 1600 hours. “Only providers of essential services are exempted from these restrictions.”

NAFDAC acted based on information (video) of Upon the Rock Honey purchased from a certain supermarket at Wuse and Garki in Abuja, circulated on social media by a customer alleging that the product was adulterated. The product was produced by Upon the Rock Church of God, Durumi, Abuja.       The Cardiothoracic Unit of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), in collaboration with Voom Foundation, has successfully carried out surgeries with a hundred percent success rate for five patients. The Chief Medical Director of LASUTH, Professor Adetokunbo Fabamwo expressed delight at the outcome of the procedures, expressing the hope of greater partnership with the Foundation for future medical activities. COURT ORDERS NBC AND DAAR COMMUNICATION TO MAINTAIN STATUS QUO.

      The  Justice Inyang Ekwo-led Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has, Friday, nullified the suspension of operating license of Daar Communications PLC, operator of AIT and Ray Power, ordering both NBC and DAAR who are parties in the case of DAAR communications and the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to maintain the status quo pending a hearing on June 13, 2019. The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, had, Thursday, suspended the operating license of the Daar Communications PLC, operator of AIT and Ray Power over alleged breach of the NBC’s broadcasting code. Justice Inyang Ekwo, while delivering the order, mandated the FG government and NBC to appear before it to show cause why a revert to May 30, 2019 status quo ante bellum, sought by Daar Communications PLC should not be granted.       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Makurdi Zonal Office on Friday, June 7, 2019 arraigned one Moses Peter Adoga before Justice Simon O. Aboki of the Nasarawa State High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State. Adoga was arraigned on a one-count charge for dishonestly converting the sum of N19,765,200 (Nineteen Million, Seven Hundred and Sixty Five Thousand Two Hundred Naira), being a Tertiary Educa tion Trust Fund (TETFUND) grant to study for a PhD, to other purposes, an offence punishable under Section 312 of Penal Code Laws. NAF TRAINED 20 DOGS,20 PERSONNEL TODAY IN SOUTH AFRICA FOR SPECIAL OPERATIONS.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

       Twenty personnel and 20 dogs of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Canine (K-9) Unit are currently undergoing advanced training in South Africa to enhance their capacity in the areas of Explosives Ordinance Detection (EOD), Narcotics Detection and Special Operations. The Special Operations training covers tracking, rappelling, waterman-ship and other special terrain training aimed at equipping members of the Un it with requisite skills to operate with NAF Special Forces (SF) personnel in Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) situations where they would be required to rescue downed aircrew, especially in denied environments. The special operations dogs would also be employed to support emergency responders in times of disasters to locate survivors. At the end of the training, some of the personnel would be deployed as instructors at the newly established Air Police Training Centre (APTC) Kerang, Plateau State.
