The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. Dubai Police fine Motorists, impound their Vehicles for Performing Stunts in the Rain   The Dubai Police has fined a number of motorists and seized their vehicles for committing serious traffic violations during yesterday’s rainy weather, including driving recklessly and perfuming stunts on wet roads and driving in a way that poses a danger to themselves and others.   Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Department of Traffic Police, said they summoned the unruly drivers who appeared in videos circulated across social media channels performing stunts and driving recklessly across the emirate’s roads during the rain.  He added that one of the reckless drivers collided with another motorist who was driving orderly nearby.     Maj. FAAC MEETING FEDERAL MINISTRY OF FINANCE, BUDGET AND NATIONAL PLANNING. PRESS RELEASE  THE FG, STATES AND LGCs SHARE N736.782 BILLION FOR THE MONTH OF October 2022. The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), at its Meeting shared a total sum of N736.782 billion to the three tiers of government, as Federation Allocation for the month of October, 2022. From this stated amount, inclusive of Gross Statutory Revenue, Value Added Tax (VAT), Exchange Gain and augmentation from Non Oil Revenue, the Federal Government received N293.955 billion, the States received N239.512 billion, the Local Government Councils got N177.086 billion, while the Oil producing states received N26.228 billion as derivation, (13% of Mineral Revenue). Anambra Governor's Wife, Mrs Soludo Commissions Mammography Facility At Onitsha General Hospital. Anambra Governor's wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo has commissioned a state-of-the-art mammography centre at the General Hospital, Onitsha. The facility was built by TotalEnergies Upstream Nigeria Limited, Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and partners: Prime, SAPEPTRO and CNOOC, as part of their corporate social responsibility projects. A mammography centre is a medical facility where women can go for regular breast checks, as it regards cancer of the breasts and related tumours. The newly-installed mammography machine at Onitsha General Hospital, has the capacity to take up to one hundred and twenty examinations per day. MISSING COUPLE FOUND DEAD IN DECOMPOSED STATE IN ZAMBIA. (PHOTO).

Missing couple found dead, in decomposed state POLICE have found a couple of Kasupe area in Lusaka dead and in a decomposed state, near their house after they went missing for three days. Bwalya Chileshe aged 56 of Kasupe area in Lusaka and her husband identified as Benard Chomba aged 60 were discovered dead about 30 metres near their home. It is suspected that the couple was murdered. It is reported that after the couple went missing, a close relation to the victims was informed of the situation but all efforts to contact the couple were in vain as their mobile phones went unanswered. This prompted her to report the matter to the police. Police officers and the named informer went to the house of the two deceased persons and upon inspection, they found assorted household goods scattered in different rooms of the house. LAGOS COMMENCES FREE SCHOOL-BASED MASS DEWORMING EXERCISE … Targets 1.3 Million School-Age Children in 10 LGAs Lagos State Government today commenced a free school-based deworming exercise to treat Soil-Transmitted Helminthiasis (STH), targeting 1.3 million school-age children between the ages of five and 14 years who are at risk of parasitic worm infections in the State. The exercise which is being implemented in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Health and a non-governmental organisation, Evidence Action, holds in 10 soil-transmitted helminthiasis endemic Local Governments, namely: Ajeromi/Ifelodun, Amuwo-Odofin, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Ojo and Shomolu. Speaking on the modalities for the implementation of the exercise, the State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi disclosed that the five-day exercise will commence from Tuesday, 22nd to Saturday, 26th November 2022. He added that children, aged five and 14 years, in schools and co
