ANAMBRA GOVT RESCUES 13 CHILDREN FROM TRAFFICKERS, ARREST SUSPECTS. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. The suspected trafficker, Angela Okechukwu and her collaborators were also arrested.  Speaking, the Managing Director of OCHA Brigade, Comrade Celestine Anere who frowned at the poor health condition the children who are aged between two and twelve years are subjected to, assured that the state government will continue to crack down on all sorts of illegality and warning all criminal minded individuals to relocate from the...

ARMED ROBBERS ON A BIKE IN VICTORIA ISLAND TODAY,SHOT & STOLE FROM A YOUNG MAN.

                                   According to sources,a yet to be identified man was today thursday shot by an armed gang who dispossessed him of his money in Victoria Island,Lagos.The four man gang which rode on motorcycles reportedly shot the young man for refusing to handover an envelope containing money.It was gathered by sources that the victim had withdrawn some money from a nearby Zenith bank,after which he entered a Guarantee Trust Bank Branch in thee area.He was said to have stopped by a recharge card vendor where he bought voucher before stopping a tricycle,but the criminals who must have trailed him,shot him on thee leg for refusing to handover the envelop.The victim's blood littered the ground,while his attackers fled the scene in broad day light.One more photo below.

NIGER REPUBLIC AIR FORCE,BOMBS BOKO HARAM CAMPS & ARRESTED 20 MILITANTS.

                             Niger air force bombed a Boko Haram base in the southeast and arrested more than 20 militants.Government forces tracked the militants after a soldier was killed when a military vehicle was blown up by remote control by the group near Lake Chad on Monday.A Military source said ''Our air forces destroyed this nest,but we do not yet have an official death toll''In October,Niger's parliament approved a three month extension of a 15 day state of emergency in Diffa in order to boost security.A long awaited 8,700 regional task force is set to begin joint raids on Boko Haram's last enclaves when the rainy season ends soon.Said a top U.N official in West Africa.One more photo below.                                                             ...

ELTON JOHN,DONATED $5M TO SUB-SAHARAN AFRICAN ORGANISATIONS TO HELP GAY AIDS VICTIMS.

                   Today thursday,Elton John Aids Foundation gave $5m to organisations in sub-Saharan Africa who work with lesbian,bisexual,gay and transgender people suffering from AIDS or HIV.Sir Elton John believes that HIV/AIDS is spreading across Africa because people are afraid to come out publicly that they are gay.He says the stigmatization they suffer makes them more vulnerable to contracting the disease.Elton said ''It stigmatizes the disease and the conditions where they live and so they don't come out and have HIV tests.They feel nervous about going on the medication,about being labelled or branded as someone with HIV,so we really have to go in and attack the root of the problem and that is the stigmatization and lack of safe access to treatment and advice and counselling.Otherwise,we won't stop the disease in tracks''.John and his husband David Furnish,will unveil a new partnership with the US President's Emergency Plan for ...

                                Today thursday,it was reported that the team of lawyers representing the Senate president Bukola Saraki,walked out on the Code of Conduct Tribunal because the Tribunal refused their application for stay of proceedings in the asset falsification trial against the Senate President.The lawyers walked out of the CCT after the tribunal ruled that Saraki's trial must continue despite his appeal at the Supreme Court.The lawyers Saka Issau {SAN},Ahmed Raji {SAN} and 23 others described the tribunal's decision to proceed with the case despite the pending case at the apex court as ''Judicial rascality''.The Tribunal Chairman,Danladi Umar,described Saraki's lawyers conduct as act of disrespect to the court.He said the walkout was unwarranted and the matter was adjourned to November 19.One more photo below.                       ...
