 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. INDIA REJECTS TODAY,APPLE'S PLAN TO IMPORT USED iPHONES,INTO THEIR COUNTRY.

                     According to Reuters,Government officials said today wednesday,that India has rejected a plan by Apple Inc to import used iPhones.Apples sells what it calls refurbished iPhones at a discount in some countries,including the United States.Extending this practice to India would have likely helped it increase its share in one of the world's fastest growing smartphone markets against competitors with much cheaper offerings.But India,which is pushing a 'Make in India' initiative to boost the competitivesness of its manufacturing sector,rejected the proposal citing rules against importing used electronics.NN Kaul,a spokesman for the telecom ministry said ''India does not encourage dumping or recycling of hazardous materials''.Apple's proposal was opposed by domestic phone makers who claim selling refurbished iPhones-devices that have been returned by buyers or repaired to factory condition after damage,would breach Ind...

IGP WARNS POLICEMEN AGAINST EXTORTING,HARASSMENT OVER TINTED GLASS PERMIT+EXTENDS DEADLINE FOR RE-VALIDATION.

                        As the Nigeria Police High Command extends the deadline for revalidation of tinted glass permit and firearms licence to 31st July,2016,the Inspector General of Police,IGP Solomon E. Arase,fdc,NPM,has directed all State Commands Commissioners of Police to stay enforcement of law on tinted glass permit and firearms licence until the expiration of the deadline.The IGP,who restated that revalidation of tinted glass permit is free  of charge,warned Policemen against extortion and harassment of motorists over revalidating their permits and licences.He,therefore,urged members of the public who are yet to obtain the automated tinted glass permit and firearms licence to seize the opportunity of the extension to complete necessary formalities for them to key into the electronic platform.The IGP wishes to reassure the public of the commitment of the Force to the provision of round-the-clock security for the te...

5 BOKO HARAM MEMBERS WERE INTERCEPTED TODAY BY THE NIGERIAN ARMY,MOVING LOGISTIC ITEMS TO THEIR HIDEOUTS.{PHOTOS}.

                                      Today at about 9:25 am in the morning,troops of 120 Task Force Battalion,27 Task Force Brigade,in conjunction with vigilantes while patrol,intercepted 5 Boko Haram terrorists logistics team at Gotumba area trying to move logistics items to suspected Boko Haram hideouts at Aluwa,using 5 donkeys.The terrorists on sighting the patrol team,ran and abandoned the items.However,the team pursued and killed 3 of them,while 2 escaped with gun shot wounds.Items recovered from them include 3 packets of Tramol,2 packets of Lamumol,7 packets of Really Extra,2 packets Viagra,2 of Ulgra and 14 of washing soap.Other items include 4 rolls of Klin Detergent,2 packets razor blade and 14 packets of Maggi,half bag of table salt,5 bicycle tyres and tubes,as well as 2 quick patch for tubes,1 roll of matches and 10 pairs of rubber shoes.The troops also recovered large quantity of ...
