 Obosi Development Union Backs Dialect Quiz to Preserve Local Language ‎ ‎  ‎By Chiedu Uche Okoye ‎ ‎The President General of the Obosi Development Union (ODU), Barrister  Chimezie Obi, has expressed his support for the upcoming Obosi dialect quiz competition, aimed at preserving the Obosi dialect of the Igbo language from extinction.  ‎ ‎The event, initiated by Pharm. Obi Egbuonye's "Revive Obosi Dialect Project", is scheduled to take place at the Obosi town hall on Easter Monday, April 6, 2026. ‎ ‎According to Barr. Obi, the competition will promote the Obosi dialect and contribute to the preservation of the Igbo language. "It will bring together Obosi people who are proficient in the Obosi dialect, enabling younger generations to learn and appreciate their local language," he stated. ‎ ‎Nze Isaac Ejindu, leader of the Uruowulu village team, praised the organizers, including Pharm. MANY PEOPLE DIED TODAY,AS A BOMB EXPLODED AT A BUS-STATION IN KANO CITY.

                     The explosion at the Kano line station occurred at about 3:40pm today tuesday and sources claimed that after the bomb exploded,many people were injured and covered in blood.Sources said that one of the bus that exploded was spattered with blood and human flesh.There was no immediate indication of casualties but there were fears of a heavy death toll,given that the bus station is normally packed with commuters and travellers but the police confirmed 12 people dead already.More details later.

A FEMALE MISSIONARY,KIDNAPPED TODAY IN KOGI STATE.

                According to sources and the church said that ''Early this morning {today tuesday}we received a report that Rev.Phyllis Sortor,our missionary in Nigeria,was abducted from the Hope Academy compound in Emiworo,Kogi state,Nigeria by several persons''.A United State Department official said authorities had heard the reports but could not make further comments in the interest of privacy.From my little investigations,the sister is from America and she is a christian missionary that was working in Nigeria and she was kidnapped overnight.Nobody or group has come out to claim they kidnapped the Rev sister.
