 A Fort Campbell soldier has been arrested for selling military secrets to China. A grand jury has handed down an indictment for Sgt. Korbein Schultz on multiple conspiracy charges. Schultz was arrested on Thursday at Fort Campbell, Tennessee.  The charges against Schultz include conspiracy to export defense articles, bribery of a public official, exporting technical defense data,and conspiracy to obtain and disclose national defense information.  In the indictment, prosecutors allege that Schultz used his top secret clearance to transport plans, maps, writings, notes and photographs to Hong Kong. A situation which began in June of 2022 and continued until his arrest on Thursday.  Officials state that Schultz received 14 payments totaling $42,000 since 2022.  This sum hardly seems worth selling your country out. On Thursday, over 200 students and pupils were kidnapped by bandits who attacked the school. In a statement on Friday, Christian Munduate, UNICEF representative in Nigeria, said schools are learning sanctuaries and should not be places of fear and violence. Osinuga of the Ogun State High Court, Abeokuta have convicted and sentenced fourteen (14) internet fraudsters to various jail terms. Inmate Grabs Warder’s Rifle, Shoots Vulcaniser A prison inmate at the Oke-Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin, Kwara State capital has shot and wounded a roadside vulcaniser.  This happened on Friday when some prison inmates were being led out of the facility. But one of the inmates seized a warder’s rifle and fired some shots which hit the unidentified vulcanizer staying close to the area. While the injured vulcanizer who was shot in the stomach was rushed to a medical facility for treatment, the culprit was detained at the ‘C’ Division Police station, Isale-Ojo, in the Ilorin metropolis. The incident which occurred at about 8.00 a.m, caused panic and anxiety as residents of the area scampered for safety while the drama lasted.

FG Mulls Legislation To Sanitise Health Sector The Federal Government said it will soon come up with legislation that would regulate the healthcare sector to eliminate quacks and ensure improved service delivery. M Aikawa and Hawa Buhari of the Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna have  convicted and sentenced one Onoja Benjamin Ufedo to two years imprisonment for cheating and  Karamchi Motors Limited and Dawaki Motors Limited for failure to comply with the requirements of the Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering, SCUML. Ufedo was jailed on Monday,  March 4, 2024, after he pleaded guilty to  a lone count charge bordering on cheating upon arraignment by the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.  The lone count charge reads: “that you, Onoja Benjamin Ufedo "M" sometimes in December 2023, in Kaduna, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, did dishonestly induce one Sani Abubakar Abbas to pay you the sum of N100,000.00(One Hundred Thousand Naira), which you paid one Mohammed Nasir Sadeeq the sum of N50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira), to procure two false certificates

  MC Oluomo’s aide dies in autocrash on Third Mainland Bridge.  Akintoye Benson, an aide to the chairman of the Lagos Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, has reportedly died. Benson, who was seen in a wrecked vehicle in a viral video, was said to have died in an auto crash on Third Mainland Bridge on Thursday night. A prominent figure within the Indian Special Forces Unit active in Zimbabwe, has been apprehended by operatives from the Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO). Singh's arrest occurred shortly after NewZimbabwe.com's exposé on the Unit's operations, following thorough investigations by the CIO. The arrest transpired during a sting operation at a prestigious restaurant in Harare, where Singh was socializing with unidentified individuals. Despite their deployment in Mozambique's conflict-ridden Cabo Delgado region, where they were supporting the government's efforts against insurgents, the presence of these highly-trained soldiers in Zimbabwe raised significant suspicions.  PSC  Promotes Anambra  Police PRO, DSP Ikenga, 1,606 Others To New Ranks By Uche Kalu  The Police Public Relations Officer,  Anambra State Police Command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, has been promoted to a new rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) in the force. This was contained in a press release by the Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani who explained that 1,606 other persons were also promoted from the same DSP rank to the next rank of SP across the nation. According to the statement,  the commission had earlier stepped down the consideration of the officers’ promotion at its last management meeting where other recommendations were considered when it noticed some discrepancies in the list. The promotion of the DSPs to SPs saw the elevation of 158 officers in the professional cadre  which included 105 in the communication unit, 22 in transport, 10 medical officers,  nine nurses and another nine from works.
