 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   ENGINEERS FAROUK AHMED, GBENGA KOMOLAFE RESIGN, PRESIDENT TINUBU NOMINATES SUCCESSORS TO THE SENATE FOR APPROVAL President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked the Senate to approve the nominations of two new chief executives for the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) and the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC).   The requests followed the resignation of Engineer Farouk Ahmed of the NMDPRA and Gbenga Komolafe of the NUPRC. Both officials were appointed in 2021 by former President Buhari to lead the two regulatory agencies created by the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).   To fill these positions, President Tinubu has written to the Senate, requesting expedited confirmation of Oritsemeyiwa Amanorisewo Eyesan as CEO of NUPRC and Engineer Saidu Aliyu Mohammed as CEO of NMDPRA.   The two nominees are seasoned professionals in the oil and gas industry.   Eyesan, a graduate of Economics f...

           These range of dolls was launched into the market by a Nigerian entrepreneur Taofik Okoya to teach children about African heritage.Taofick Okoya says ''The comic books and animation stories is the medium to use to enlighten and educate children on our history and culture''.Okaya and his team developed a series of books,comics and songs based on the dolls characters to make positive messages accessible to Nigerian children.Am impressed because children can easily  learn about their culture at a tender age and i will encourage parents to encourage these dolls in your homes it will make the child playfully learn his or her heritage without being told a moon light tale.You like?more photos below.                                                                         ...

IGBO SETTLEMENT IN THE NIGER DELTA IN 1930.

             The Igbo people are from the eastern part of Nigeria and they are mostly christians.There are many story part of the existence of the Igbo people,one of the part includes, that they originated from a tribe of Israel,before they were taken as slaves by an Arabian king and later they gained their freedom,moving from one place to another.Nigerian history only recorded the fact that these particular group had claimed they had their settlement in Congo before there was a war and they migrated to the eastern part of Nigeria Nri before spreading out to the other part of the country.Nigeria was Amalgamated in 1914 where all regions were fused together to make Nigeria one.These picture above proved that the Igbo's had their settlement before independence in the Niger Delta in 1930 and the proof is these picture,photographed by Edward Chadwick.

              Katy Perry arrived 50minutes late for her appearance at Jeremy Scott's collection for Moschino at Milan fashion week.The show didn't start untill Katy Perry had taken her seat in the front row,that angered fashionistas and photographers.Having flown in from London that day,Katy tried to appease the crowd with an impromptu photo shoot on the run way before taking her seat,members of the crowd started booing her as they were clearly impatient for the runway show to start..Katy was clearly embarrassed and quickly hurried to her seat,before the lights went down.More pictures below.
