The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.              Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment has inducted the first batch of 500 graduates to its 3-month paid Internship Programme for unemployed graduates in the State.Speaking at the Induction Cerem,ony,the State Commissioner,Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment,Mr Babatunde Durosinmi-Etti said the internship programme was designed to provide unique opportunities for unemployed graduates in the State towards enhancing the formal education they acquired and enable them to earn first-hand workplace experience to earn them jobs or make them entrepreneurs.In his words,''As a ministry,it was discovered that formal education forms 30% of what is required to face the challenges of securing a job; the remaining 70% cuts across cognitive values and gender.This will assist in building up the employability skills of our youths,this is the first batch and the next batch of 500 will be coming up at a later date''.Durosinmi-Etti stated further that at

                The South-South Zonal Head of Operations of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,Mr. Ishaq Salihu,on friday,June 2,2017 told a Rivers State High Court,sitting in Port Harcourt,that a former Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission,NDDC,Mr Robert Akunne Obuoha,offered him a bribe of N150,000.00k {One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira only},in order to compromise an ongoing investigation by the EFCC.He stated this before Justice S.C.                   Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have passed a motion calling on the state Governor,Mr Akinwunmi Ambode to direct the state Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs,Hon.                According to Vanguard,the lingering war between social miscreants at Okesuna and Patey streets,Lagos Island,assumed a violent dimension yesterday,as three persons were feared dead.Many others injured in the free-for-all,in which broken bottles,knives,axes and guns were used.The warring factions,as gathered had been at daggers-drawn over supremacy for close to five years.The latest clash started after a man,identified as Osigin,was attacked at about 7a.m,while returning to his Oshodi home,which he fled from,following the crisis that erupted over the murder of Hamburger.He was said to have been stabbed by Patey boys for supporting their rival.When news of his attack filtered in,Okesuna boys went for his rescue and called for reinforcement from Oshodi boys.Osigin,as gathered,was rushed to a private hospital where he later died.News of his death sparked a renewed battle as miscreants from Okepopo,Salu Court and Okesuna invaded Patey Street,where two persons were reportedly s
