 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. GOV. ISHAKU ADVISED COMMISSIONERS & OTHERS INTERESTED IN VYING FOR ELECTIVE OFFICE IN 2019,TO RESIGN BEFORE 31ST OF JULY.{PHOTO}.

       The Taraba State Governor,  Darius Ishaku has advised his commissioners and members of the State Executive Council, who are interested in vying for elective offices in 2019, to resign their appointments on or before the 31st of July 2018. According to the statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Hassan Mijinyawa, Governor Ishaku Issued the advice at the end of the State Executive Council meeting on Wednesday in Jalingo.He noted that the advice has become necessary so that there will not be any conflicting interest that may affect the discharge of their duties or overheat the polity.

     Following the tragic tanker explosion on Otedola Bridge inward Ojodu Berger along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway which claimed lives and property, the Lagos State Government on Sunday restricted movement of Fuel Tankers to designated trailer route going forward. The government also said it was now mandatory for all articulated trucks coming into Lagos to obtain the Ministry of Transportation’s Road Worthiness Certificate at any of the designated centres within the next 30 days.       The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has received reports of attempts to clone Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and sell them online. We wish to assure the public that the Commission had anticipated these and proactively taken measures to preserve and further secure our electoral materials. Several security features and secret source codes are contained in the Smart Card Readers which enable them to read only PVCs duly issued by the Co mmission. The advertisement shows photographs of blank cards which have not been personalised and which do not contain any details. This notwithstanding, the Commission wishes to state that it takes these reports seriously and will engage the government and security agencies as well as the promoters of the platform in order to get to the root of it and take all necessary action to take down the advertisement forthwith.      A self-acclaimed final year student of the Imo State University has been arrested for trying to chop off the penis of a man after sex.According to a journalist with NTA who witnessed the scene, the incident happened, yesterday, around Douglass road, Owerri.“Just this morning, I dash into a bank in Douglass for transaction, only to see a girl breathing and panting.       1.Troops of 242 Battalion deployed in operation LAFIA DOLE in conjunction with troops of operation LAST HOLD on 28 June 2018 while on raid patrol at Mallam Kafari, Goni, Alkari, Burburna , Kantanna villages in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno state encountered Boko Haram terrorists. 2. MACRON VISIT: LAGOS ANNOUNCES TRAFFIC DIVERSION IN ALAUSA,AFRICAN SHRINE AXIS ON TUESDAY.

       Ahead of the historic visit of the President of France, Emmanuel Macron to Lagos, the State Government on Sunday announced that there would be traffic diversion and restricted movement from 12 noon to 12 midnight on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 around the Alausa, African Shrine/Agidingbi axis. Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transportation, Dr. Taiwo Salaam in a statement appealed for the understa nding of residents, urging motorists to make use of alternative routes provided. “While we regret the inconvenience that this might cause the public, especially those who live and work in the area, we appeal that you kindly bear with us during this period and make use of the alternative routes provided,”, Salaam said. Macron is expected to be hosted by the State Government at the African Shrine on Tuesday.
