 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

ONYI ADABA REVEALS HER MARRIAGE TO ACTOR KEN ERICS,HAS BEEN OVER FOR THE PAST 10 MONTHS.{PHOTOS}.

     Ken Erics and his "estranged" wife, Onyi Adaba seem to be enmeshed in marital crisis as he reportedly abandoned his marriage for the past 10 months. Onyi disclosed this while reacting to rumour of Blossom Chukwujekwu and Maureen Esisi's marriage ending on grounds of infidelity. In an Instagram exchange with a follower, Onyi Adaba revealed that she has been subjected to pain and trauma for the past 10 months as her husband Ken Erics abandoned their marriage and moved out of their apartment. She has also struck out her "Mrs" title, reverting to Miss Onyi Adaba. The couple got married in Enugwu-Ukwu, Anambra State on the 28th of December 2017. The ceremony was attended by Ken Erics’ family, some colleagues from Nollywood and in the entertainment industry.More photos below.

      Adequate security is at the centre of actualising the Lagos State’s aspiration to transform its economy and make it 21st Century compliant, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said at the weekend. Sanwo-Olu said his administration has prioritised provision of logistics and material support for improved security operations to sustain 24-hour commercial activities across the State. He also promised to collaborate with the Nigeria Police to increase security surveillance at the grassroots through community policing arrangement of the Federal Government. Sanwo-Olu spoke while hosting the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muhammed Adamu, who was paid him a courtesy visit at the weekend. The IGP’s visit, which was his final leg of operational tour of the Southwest region, coincided with the summit of Conference of House of Assembly Speakers in the six states of the region held in Lagos, which bordered on regional security.      The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has applauded the Nigerian Immigration Service, for coming up with the E-registration program for immigrants in the country, saying that the exercise would go a long way in checking illegal migration into the state and the country.        A Nigerian man from Ebonyi State, identified as Mr Ikechukwu Oke has allegedly fasted for 41 days and nights, suddenly overtaking Jesus who fasted for 40 days and nights in the bible, Igbere TV has gathered. According to report, Mr Ikechukwu who hails from Ebiaji in Ezza North LGA embarked on 41 days and nights of dry fasting and prayer in his hostel, located in Ishieke, Ebonyi State. Igbere TV gathered that the SS1 student of Ishieke Secondary School in Ebonyi State has been hospitalised at FETHA 1 in Abakaliki, the state capital, "after surviving 41 days and 41 nights dry fasting". Speaking over the incident, Mr Felix Nonso said the boy, Master Ikechukwu Okeh, from Ebiaji in Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, decided to embark on the fasting "due to family problems".      Following credible information from the locals about the presence of terrorists at Gworege village in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State, troops of 22 Brigade/Super Camp Dikwa in conjunction with the Civilian Joint Task Force, Local Vigilantes and Hunters, conducted a successful raid and clearance operations to Gworege community to clear the village   of the crouching terrorists reportedly hibernating in the area. The terrorists engaged the troops in a fire fight but had to flee as a result of superior fire power from the troops.     The Federal Government has debunked the report being circulated on the social media of a bomb explosion at the South African High Commission in Abuja on Saturday, calling the report fake news orchestrated by the desperate opposition to cause panic and chaos among the populace.
