 Fuel scarcity bites harder in Abuja, Ondo, Osun, others • Independent marketers sell PMS between N625 and N799 per litre There is no succour yet for motorists and other petrol end users despite the Thursday statement by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) that it had resolved the logistic problems that sparked the supply crisis. Reports from across the country yesterday showed that many filling stations had no fuel to sell. Some sold over and above the threshold of N650 per litre while motorists and other buyers besieged the few ones that sold within the range of N600 per litre. While many petrol stations in Lagos sold fuel at the normal price and queues were not noticeable, it was a different story in the industrial town of Ota, Ogun State where some filling stations hiked their pump price to N799 per litre. 20 MOTORCYCLES BURNT TODAY AFTER A FUEL TANK EXPLOSION IN VIETNAM FILLING STATION.{PHOTO}.

                  According to PM News,a firee and some small explosions broke out at a filling station in Vietnam today friday,burning some 20 motorbikes and many garment shops.WWhen a tank truck was transferring petrol to the basin of the filling station on Quang Trung Road in Go vap district,the fire happened unexpectedly,and rapidly spread to nearby garment shops and a motorbike parking lot.The fierce fire made the filling station's staff and residents in the neighbourhood to flee on fear of big explosions.Reports says dozens of fire fighters rushed in and extinguished the fire.

                            The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission today December 16,2016 secured the conviction of one Nuhu Abdu Ibrahim,a Saudi Based Bureau de Change Operator before Honourable Justice J.K Omotosho of the Federal High Court Kano on a one count charge of Money Laundering.Trouble began for the convict when the commission received a report from the Nigeria Custom Service that an unaccompanied baggage of blanket on board Sudan Airline was intercepted by its officers at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport containing the sum of $520,700 {Five Hundred and Twenty thousand,Three Hundred and Fifty United State Dollars}.Subsequently ,the clearing agent,Hassan Bala who cleared the baggage was arrested and brought to the commission.According to the agent,the baggage was sent to him by the convict from Saudi Arabia and that he was not aware it contained the said money.His claim was subsequently confirmed when the commission invited the convict who was then in Saudi Ar

A 16 YEAR OLD DIED 1-HOUR AFTER DRINKING LOCAL GIN AT BADAGRY,LAGOS.{PHOTO}.

                           According to TVC,a 16 year old boy identified simply as Ngozi,has been sent to his early grave,no thanks to some suspected adulterated liquor.Ngozi allegedly drank the suspected adulterated liquor in the Oko Afo,Badagry area of Lagos State.It was gathered that the deceased who lived with his parents on Temidola Street,Oko Afo,died about an hour after drinking the local gin given to him by the seller.According to reports,one Olufunke had sent her son,Olawumi and his friend,Ngozi,to buy the gin from the woman whose name had yet to be ascertained.After selling the drink to the boys,the seller gave Ngozi an extra gin in a nylon which he drank while returning from the errand.He was said to have become drunk and was taken home by Olufunke,who also resides on the street.Shortly after the teenager was led home,he was said to have gone into convulsion and was rushed to a hospital in the community where he was pronounced dead.The case was reported at the Morogbo Police

                      The Duchess of Cambridge attended a special Cub Scout Pack meeting on wednesday night with Cubs from Kings Lynn District to celebrate 100 years of Cubs.Her Royal Highness joined the Pack as they took part in games and activities themed around looking after yourself and others physically and emotionally.They then joined together to renew their Cub Scout promise and celebrate the Cub's 100th anniversary with the lighting of 100 candles and a rendition of happy birthday!.Cub Scouting was co-founded by Robert Baden-Powell and Vera Barclay on the 16th December 1916.More photos below.

A DIALOGUE WAS HELD YESTERDAY IN ZAMFARA STATE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE OF LIVESTOCK RUSTLING & ARMED BANDITRY.{PHOTOS}.

                As part of the concerted efforts to resolve the issue of livestock rustling and armed banditry in 1 Division Nigerian Army area of responsibility,there is substantial progress on the peace initiative led by Zamfara State government after intense military operations. Subsequently,a dialogue was held today at Gobirawa Chali village,Dansadau Emirate,Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State led by the Deputy Governor.Also in attendance were traditional rulers as well as suspected livestock rustlers including the notorious Buharin Daji.The suspected rustlers and armed bandits stated that their grouse include wanton attacks by unauthorized vigilantes against the Fulani communities.A commitment to stop the reprisal attacks on communities was made to allow for further discussion by the stakeholders.The Nigerian Army is also observing an oprational pause to gauge the commitment of the parties involved and build confidence.The government of the state appreciated the role of t
