 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

  LONDON, UK:  Prince William  and  Kate Middleton  have changed their titles to  Duke and Duchess of Cornwall  on social media. The official @KensingtonRoyal Twitter and Instagram profiles were modified to state that the "Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge" are the accounts' owners shortly after  Buckingham Palace  announced on Thursday that the Queen, 96, had passed away at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The titles of Prince and Princess of Wales are also likely to pass to them. Prior to the Queen's death on Thursday, King Charles III, who held the title of Prince of Wales, also held the Scottish titles of Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay. As Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate are all set to inherit those titles too. Prince Harry never had his wife, Meghan Markle by his side while visiting his grandmother as she was dying because she (Meghan) was disinvited in the final hours.  Royal expert Katie Nicholl told ET that the Duchess of Sussex was not included in the reach-out to Harry when news came down that Queen Elizabeth was on her death bed, which explains why he made the voyage on his own. It is also speculated that Meghan might have opted out as a courtesy or out of respect for Harry, but the report points to it being a decision made by higher powers within the Royal Family. GROOM DIES ON HIS WEDDING DAY IN ZAMFARA. A young man identified as Mudassir Lawal Galadima, died on Friday morning, September 9, 2022, a few hours to his wedding in Zamfara state. The wedding fatiha of Mudassir and his bride, Fatima Bello Maccido Maradun, was slated to be held at 1:PM in Maradun Local Government Area of the state.  The staff of UBEB had on Tuesday, September 6, shared his wedding invite on Facebook, asking for prayers.  "Kindly accept this as a formal invitation to my wedding. We would be very much delighted to see you at the ceremony and hear your sincere prayers for our union. Allah ya bada ikon zuwa." he wrote.  More photos below.
