EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                                                  Lagos State Government has reiterated its commitment to continue to protect the dignity of children in Lagos as a signatory to the Child Rights Act just as it strives to rid the state of beggars in pursuance of its zero tolerance policy on street begging.The Permanent Secretary,Ministry of Youth & Social Development,Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola disclosed this on wednesday while parading arrested women using small children to beg for alms at Iyana-Ipaja roundabout.He said the culprits,comprising four women with infants,were apprehended while soliciting for alms during routine operation by the Ministry's rescue team at Iyana Ipaja,stressing that it has not been established if the beggars are the biological parents of the children.According to him ''It is very sad that most of the beggars are not the biological parents of the children they use for begging and it's our responsibility as government to protect the dignity of chi

                                                                               A new potrait of the Queen of England has been unveiled today friday by Her Majesty in a ceremony at Windsor Castle to celebrate six decades as Patron of the British Red Cross.It was painted by the artist Henry Ward and is the first time The Queen has been depicted in a portrait as the patron of the charity,which supports people in crisis in the UK and overseas.Queen Victoria became the first Royal Patron of the charity in 1870 and The Queen assumed her role following her accession to the throne in 1052.

                 According to sources,President Muhammadu Buhari has replied Aisha,his wife on her decision not to support him for a second term in office,saying she belongs to his kitchen.Aisha had in an interview openly questioned her husband's work and said she might not support him for a second term in office.Responding to Aisha's comments in Germany where he is on a state visit President Buhari laughed it off,saying,''I don't know which party my wife belongs to,but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room''.His comments to reporters in Germany prompted German Chancellor Angela Merkel,standing at his side,to give him a short glare and then laugh.One more photo below.

A CROCODILE WAS CAPTURED ALIVE YESTERDAY & HAWKED AROUND FOR N50K AT IDEMILI,ANAMBRA STATE.{PHOTOS}.

                                                   Some people in the town of Oraukwu in Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State caught this Crocodile in the river between Abatete Town and Oraukwu both in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.Instead of helping the poor creature back to it's habitat,they bound it's mouth and legs and started looking for buyers at the price of N50,000.According to sources ''I thought these creatures were sacred in those towns and killing them is forbidden.If it is true,does the custom allow selling them off?.Secondly,isn't it fair to consider the fact that this is part of the wildlife that makes up the fauna of the area and should be preserved?.Ndi Oraukwu,we need your clarifications on it''.One more photo below.
