Under the distinguished leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, psc (+), mni, the Command is dedicated to implementing robust security measures and ensuring a conducive environment for prayer across the State. The safety of lives and property remains the highest priority for the Police. The Command has established extensive security protocols to achieve this objective, including deploying mufti-uniformed personnel for intelligence gathering. EFCC TODAY ARRESTED BAYELSA FORMER GOVERNOR TIMIPRE SYLVA,OVER N48 BILLION FRAUD.

             According to sources who confirmed the arrest said that,today thursday ''The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,arrested Timipre Sylva,the former governor of Bayelsa state,following his refusal to honour invitations to answer charges over the allegations of fraud running into billions of Naira.The offence is said to have been committed while he served as the governor of Bayelsa state.He was picked up today at his Maitama,Abuja home''.More details later.More photos below.                                                                             

NOT LESS THAN 30,000 PEOPLE,TO MARCH TODAY IN JOHANNESBURG AGAINST XENOPHOBIA ATTACKS.

                    More than 30,000 people are expected to march through Hillbrow today against the recent scourge of Xenophobic attacks in Gauteng and Kwazulu Natal.The match is being organised by several civil society organisation.They said the march was to express an over whelming rejection of heinus Xenophobic acts.Atleast seven people have been killed in three weeks of the unrest,that have revived memories of Xenophobic bloodshed in 2008 when 62 people were killed mainly in Johannesburg town ships.UN Chief Ban Ki-Moon on wednesday condemned the violence and called for all efforts to be made to avoid future attacks.President Jacob Zuma has pledged to tackle anti-migrant sentiment in South Africa and to address deep rooted problems behind the attacks.One more photo below.                                               ...
