 Fuel scarcity bites harder in Abuja, Ondo, Osun, others • Independent marketers sell PMS between N625 and N799 per litre There is no succour yet for motorists and other petrol end users despite the Thursday statement by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) that it had resolved the logistic problems that sparked the supply crisis. Reports from across the country yesterday showed that many filling stations had no fuel to sell. Some sold over and above the threshold of N650 per litre while motorists and other buyers besieged the few ones that sold within the range of N600 per litre. While many petrol stations in Lagos sold fuel at the normal price and queues were not noticeable, it was a different story in the industrial town of Ota, Ogun State where some filling stations hiked their pump price to N799 per litre.   PRESS RELEASE Breach Profile of Broadcasting Stations For 2nd Quarter, 2020. “The report shows that a total of 716 infractions of the NBC Code were sanctioned by the Commission between April and June 2020” 25th. November,2020. The National Broadcasting Commission has released the breach profile of broadcast stations in Nigeria for the second quarter of 2020.The report shows that a total of seven hundred and sixteen {716} infractions of the Nigeria Broadcasting code were sanctioned by the commission between April and June 2020. Out of the 716 infractions sanctioned, only 22 (3%) were financial penalty. The remaining 694 (97%) were either cautions or warnings for obscenity, political, hate speech, unverifiable claims, unprofessionalism, advertisements and technical breaches (See Breakdown attached) Advertisement breaches were the dominant infractions for the quarter accounting for 51% of all sanctions, followed by unverifiable claims to cure by tradomedics and preachers with 17%.   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has sought the assistance of the International Police Organisation (Interpol), on the extradition of Nigerian treasury looters and cybercrime suspects, hibernating abroad as well as the fleeing officials of Process and Industrial Developments Nigeria Limited (P&ID). The Acting Chairman of the EFCC Mohammad Umar Abba, made the appeal on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 when a delegation of the National Central Bureau of Interpol Nigeria, led by Garba Baba Umar, a commissioner of police, came on a courtesy visit to EFCC headquarters, Abuja.   The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has given a marching order to the General Manager of the state water corporation, Engineer Oluseye Maku, and his team, to be up and doing or face dire consequences. The governor who expressed anger at the state of public water supply by the corporation gave the warning at the two-day Treasury Board meeting on 2021 Budget held at the Obas Complex, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta. The Governor’s warning came when Maku appeared the Board to defend the Corporation’s Budget proposals for 2021. Abiodun advised the leadership of the water corporation to ensure the immediately supply of pipe borne water to all the nook and cranny of the state.
