 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

INEC POSTPONED ELECTION IN 4 LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS TODAY,IN RIVERS STATE RERUN ELECTION.

                                  According to sources INEC has postponed in Bonny,Khana,Gokana,Andoni Local Government Areas.Initial reports had suggested that there was violence in the area,where a soldier reportedly shot a voter in the chest,although he did not die.The election in that local government area has been postponed and a date for a rerun is yet to be announced.The Independent National Electoral Commission {INEC} accredited no fewer that 2,537,590 voters for the ongoing election rerun in Rivers state.The election is scheduled to hold across 23 Local Government Area {LGA},3 1 9 wards and 4,442 Polling Units of the state.One more photo below.

THE NIGERIAN POLICE,AMBUSHED ARMED HOODLUMS WHO PLANNED TO ROB A BUREA-DE-CHANGE,2 DAYS AGO IN LAGOS.

                  On the  1 7 of March 20 1 6,based on credible intelligence gathered that armed hoodlums were planning to attack a burea-de-change at the border of Nigeria and Benin Republic,Police personnel on both sides laid in ambush for the hoodlums.A gun duel ensued and in the process four of the suspects were arrested while others escaped through the waterway with bullet injuries.One AK-49 rifle,one boat,some explosive material believed to be dynamite and two thousand three hundred and seventy four {2,374} rounds of assorted ammunition recovered.The case is still under investigation.That same  1 7 of March,based on information that some boys were planning to kidnap a certain woman at Eze Town in Delta State the Police mobilized and arrested one Peter Amuta,of Eze town and Chidinma Okolie,of Issele Uku Town.The former who is the principal suspect confessed and mentioned about five other suspects he was trying to recruit.Investigation in progress.One more photo below.

                                                         Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar,Acting Director Defence Information said in a statement on thursday through social media that ''The attention of Defence Headquarters {DHQ} has been drawn to the existence of fake facebook accounts being operated in the name of the Chief of Defence Staff {CDS},General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin.The popular facebook accounts created by some cyber fraudsters,goes by different fake identities and official photographs of the Chief of Defence Staff are used.The pervasive facebook accounts has been misleading the general publics who have been patronizing the sites.We wish to therefore dissociate the CDS from the said accounts and call on the general public not to patronize them.The fraudsters are using the CDS facebook to extort money from unsuspecting citizens in the name of recruitment into the military and other sundry criminal purpose.The DHQ views this a a criminal act and efforts is being m

HULK HOGAN AWARDED $115 MILLION BY A COURT YESTERDAY,AFTER HIS SEX TAPE WAS RELEASED BY A WEBSITE.

                      Yesterday friday a Florida jury awarded 62 year old Hulk Hogan $  1 1 5 million with the possibility of more after finding the Gawker website violated his privacy by publishing a sex tape of Hulk Hogan.After deliberating for six hours,the jury awarded Hogan $60 million for emotional distress and $55 million for economic damages.Hogan's attorney David Houston said ''This a victory for everyone who has had their privacy violated''As the award was announced,Hulk Hogan hugged his attorney.The case has drawn attention as a digital age test of a celebrity's privacy rights and freedom press under the First Amendment of the US Constitution.Gawker publisher Nick Denton said the website would appeal the verdict.A Gawker attorney previously said a loss could put the website out of business.Hogan whose legal name is Terry Bollea,had sought $ 1 00 million in damages over the edited video that Gawker,a New York based outlet known for gossip and media rep

61 PEOPLE DIED TODAY,AFTER A DUBAI PLANE CRASHED IN RUSSIA AIRPORT.

         Today saturday,at 6 1  people died when a passenger airline flying from Dubai to southern Russia crashed as it tried to make a second landing at an airport in Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia.All 55 passengers and six crew on board died according to Russia's ministry.Russia's state television reports that the advisor to the Russian transport minister,zhanna Terekohova,saying that the cause of the crash is believed to be the pilot's error and poor weather conditions.String,gusting wind in the Rostive area was being experienced at the time of the crash.The plane abandoned an initial attempt to land at Rostov,its scheduled destination before making a repeat attempt at landing.The regional governor said on state television that most of the passengers on board were Russian with only three foreigners as per the passengers list.However,the information is yet to be verified.Flydubai,owned by the Dubai government said in a statement that ''We are doing all we can to
