ANAMBRA GOVT RESCUES 13 CHILDREN FROM TRAFFICKERS, ARREST SUSPECTS. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. NIGERIAN ARMY,PARADES A FAKE COLONEL ON FRIDAY IN ABUJA.{PHOTO}.

                  The Nigerian army on friday paraded one Prince Onyemauche accused of impersonation as a Colonel in the army.Army spokesman Colonel Sani Usman while parading Onyemauche before journalists at the army headquarters in Abuja said he was arrested with an automatic rifle and pistol.Usman said Onyemauche was arrested alongside one sergeant Jacob Phillip by troops of 176 Special Forces Gurads Battalion at about 12:30 in the early morning of 17th February 2016,along Wazobia Motor Park,Gwagwalada Abuja.He said after the arrest both suspects were carried to Gwagwagalada Barracks where a search on the Pick-up revealed an AK 47 Rifle,with registration number 3290 and four magazines,out of which two were loaded with 42 rounds of 7.62 ammunition.He added that ''A lugar pistol,21x 9mm Parabellium ammunition and the sum of one million,eleven thousand three hundred naira {N1,011,300.00} was found''.Usman said initial investigation revealed th...

COURT ADJOURNS MURTALA NYAKO'S TRIAL TO MAY 6.

                The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC on friday,April 22, 2016 presented its fifth witness in the ongoing trial of a former governor of Adamawa State,Murtala Nyako,his son,Senator Abdul-Aziz Nyako,Abubakar Aliyu and Zulkifikk Abba.Nyako and the others are standing trial before Justice E.Chukwu of the Federal High Court,Abuja in a 37 count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy,stealing,abuse of office and money laundering to the tune of N29 billion preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC.They are alleged to have at various times between 2011 and 2013,used five companies-Blue Opal Nigeria limited,Serore Farms & Extension Limited,Pagoda Fortunes Limited,Towers Assets Management Limited and Crust Energy Limited to commit the fraud..One more photo below.                                     ...

LAGOS STATE GOVT,ASK IGP TO TAKE OVER INVESTIGATION INTO DISU'S KILLING/RELEASES WHITE PAPER.

               The Lagos State Government at the weekend released a White Paper on the report of the Tribunal of Inquiry into causes of civil disturbances at the Lekki Free Trade Zone {LFTZ},just as it reiterated its commitment to ensuring free access for investors not just in the area but also in other parts of the state.According to a statement signed by the State's Commissioner for Information & Strategy,Mr. Steve Ayorinde,the State Government accepted most of the recommendations of the Tribunal part of which included a directive asking that the Inspector General of Police,Mr Solomon Arase be requested through the State Police Commissioner,Mr Fatai Owoseni,to take over investigation into the gruesome killing of Managing Director of Lekki Worldwide Limited Alhaji Tajudeen Disu as a fallout of the unrest.The directive,according to the Commissioner,became imperative owing to the need to resolve the mystery surrounding Disu's killing.Leaders of...

CONGOLESE MUSICIAN ''PAPA WEMBA'',COLLAPSED & DIED TODAY ON STAGE IN IVORY COAST.{PHOTOS}.

                              According to a spokeman for the Ivosep morgue in Abidjan,who said Congolese musician Papa Wemba died after collapsing on stage in Ivory Coast in the early hours of today sunday morning.He was performing at the FEMUA 2016 festival when he collapsed on stage.He died before reaching the hospital.He was know in the Democratic Republic of Congo as the King of Rumba Rock.Wmba who was born in JUNE 1949,died at the age of 66-67 years.More photos below.
