 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

SOME FAMILIES OF THE 49 PEOPLE KILLED AT THE ORLANDO GAY NIGHTCLUB,WEPT SO PAINFULLY AT THE FUNERALS TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

                So painful today as some families of the 49 people killed]] at an Orlando gay nightclub,hugged and wept at the funeral.The gunman 29 year old Omar Mateen who was born in New York but of Afghan parents,killed them for nothing but his shooting spray was cut short when the police shot him down.Today friday,FBI agents questioned a member of the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce,according to Omar Saleh,a lawyer with the Council of American-Islamic Relations who sat in on the 30 minute questioning session.''We were meeting with some agents.They were asking questions relative to the incident that happened on sunday''.Meanwhile,funerals and memorials were held around Florida and in Puertoo Rico,home to many of the people killed.Mourners hugged and wept after the burial of Kimberly Morris,37,in Kissimmee,Florida,and family members of Angel Candelario-Padro,28,embraced after his body returned to his hometown of Guanica,Puerto Rico.More photos below.

                      Actor  Kevin Spacey received an Honorary KBE from The Prince of Wales {Prince Charles} yesterday thursday.Kevin Spacey was awarded the Honorary KBE for his services to theatre,arts education and international culture.The prince previously presented Mr Spacey with an Honorary CBE in 2010 for services to drama.Honorary awards are made to foreign nationals in recognition of exceptional service to the United Kingdom.More photos below.

BOKO HARAM KILLED 18 MOURNERS IN A FUNERAL YESTERDAY NIGHT IN ADAMAWA STATE.

                  The attack occurred late yesterday thursday night in Madagali area of Adamawa state near Sambisa forest,where they killed 18 mourners including many women and children.A witness who insisted on anonymity said ''They stormed our village on motorbikes and immediately opened fire on the people observing the wake''.Other witness said at least 10 people were injured and were rushed to a health facility in the nearby town of Gulak.Police spokesman Othman Abubakar confirmed early reports that 18 people were killed and warned the toll could rise.Lawmaker Adamu Kamale,who represents the region in the House of Representatives,said most of the dead were women and children.He said ''There was pandemonium during which many people scampered for their lives'''.One more photo below.

A KENYA TEACHER WAS JUST SENTENCED TO 90 YEARS IN PRISON FOR SEXUALLY ASSAULTING 10 MALE STUDENTS.{PHOTOS}.

                    A Kenya primary school teacher has been sentenced to 90 years in prison by a Murang'a court for sexually assaulting 10 students.The teacher will serve nine years for each assault.The sentences will run consecutively.23 year old Mugi,indecently assaulted the 10 boys at a school in the country's Kiharu Constituency between January and May,2015.The boys,aged between 13 and 16,testified that Mugi,who was also their boarding master,fondled their private parts and kissed them after night preps.More photos below.

ENUGU COURT,SENTENCED 2 STUDENTS TO 2 YEARS IMPRISONMENT FOR IMPERSONATION & ATTEMPT TO STEAL.{PHOTOS}.

                                                        Justice M.N Yinusa of the Federal High Court, Enugu yesterday thursday,16th June 2016 sentenced one Frank Joseph and Muonwuba Valentine,a final year student of Institute of Management and Technology {I.M.T} Enugu to two years imprisonment each for conspiracy,uttering,impersonation and attempting to steal,an offence brought against them by the EFCC.The duo were earlier arrested in March 2016,on an allegation that they visited an Access Bank Branch in Kenyatta,Enugu State,presented themselves as customers of the bank and requested for an ATM card on a particular account claiming that the said account belong to their grandfather who is bedridden.The bank on suspecting foul play alerted the Commission and the matter was investigated leading to their subsequent arraignment on 19th April 2016 on a five court charge.One more photos below.

                                              Yesterday thursday the 17th of June 2016 troops of Sector 5,27 Task Force Brigade,3 Division,in conjunction with  Civilian JTF from Maiduguri arrested a suspected Boko Haram terrorist Ibrahim Jagwal,aged 38 at Gishiwa Dabua area of PotiskumYobe State.The suspected terrorist who turned out to be the Ameer of the Boko Haram Terrorists at Tumbin Gini,Abadam Local Government Area of Borno State,also led the team to Garejin Audu in Potiskum,where another terror suspect,Audu Ahmadu,{alias condemned} aged 45 years,was arrested same day.Preliminary investigation confirms that Audu Ahmadu is a Boko Haram Engineer who specializes in repairs of automobiles for the Boko Haram terrorists group.It was further confirmed he was at the garage to repair 2 vehicles.The vehicles were recovered by the team,while the suspects have been taken into custody for onward movement to Joint Interrogation Centre.In a related development,troops of 156 Task Force Battalion
