 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. SEN. ADELEKE ARRESTED TODAY BY THE POLICE FOR ALLEGED EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE.

       Mr Adeleke was arraigned on Wednesday at a Federal High Court in Abuja on a four-count charge for alleged examination malpractice. He was arraigned by the police for presenting himself as a student of Ojo-aron community grammar school in his state in 2017. He has denied the allegation and alleged political withchunt. He was brought to court with four other accused, including the school principal by the Nigerian police on Wednesday. Mr Adeleke was however granted bail on self-recognizance by Justice I E, Ekwo. The court ordered him to deposit his international passport with the registrar. Mr Adeleke was also asked to sign a bond stating that he will always be present at his trial. Mr Adeleke narrowly lost to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Gboyega Oyetola, in the governorship election. He is however, challenging the result at the election tribunal where he is asking to be declared the governor elect.

ONE-DAY GOVERNOR EMERGES IN LAGOS.#PRESS RELEASE.

A student of Lafiaji Senior High School, Lagos and representative of Lagos Island East LCDA, Gloria Ajala on Tuesday won the coveted Star Prize of the Spelling Bee competition to become the nominee as 'One Day Governor' of Lagos State. The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, while congratulating the winner, stated that in line with previous practice, Ajala would be given a scholarship by the State Government to pursu e any course of her choice in any university in the country as well as being sponsored, together with her “cabinet” to attend a cultural exchange programme in Finland. MAJ GEN IM ALKALI'S DEAD BODY,FOUND IN A WELL AND OTHER ITEMS RECOVERED.{PHOTOS}.

       Update on Search and Rescue Operations for missing Maj Gen IM Alkali (rtd). In continuation with the search and rescue of Maj Gen IM Alkali (rtd) At about 0715hrs today 31 Oct 2018, a team made up of personnel of Nigerian Army Intelligence Corps, MIlitary Police, Public Relations, Nigeria Police Force, Fire Service rescue team as well as members of other security agencies set out to a suspected well where the exhumed body was allegedly dumped on the night of 29 Sep 2018 foll owing the recovery of his car from the pond. The Team was joined by Troops from 3 Div Garrison and Nigerian Army Engineers to drain the well. The well was drained revealing the decomposed body parts of the Senior Officer. Further search led to recovery of other items including the shirt the senior officer wore on the day of his disappearance. More details later.More photos below.

        President Muhammadu Buhari, Wednesday, in Abuja launched the 2019 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration Emblem with an appeal to political actors to be decorous in their conduct and utterances in order not to fan the embers of disunity. The President launched the emblem and appeal fund for the support of Nigerian veterans and fallen heroes with N10 million, before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council. ‘‘We would have no country to lead if our acts of deliberate incitement lead to the disintegration of our dear nation,’’ the President said in his address at the Council Chambers. ‘‘Let us put Nigeria first and realise that in every contest there must be one winner,’’ he added.
