EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

FEDERAL MINISTRY OF EDUCATION HAS PROPOSED THAT SCHOOLS MUST CREATE ISOLATION SPACES BEFORE REOPENING.{PHOTOS}.

      The Federal Ministry of Education has proposed that schools must create isolation spaces before reopening. This was contained in the ‘Guidelines for schools and learning facilities reopening after COVID-19 pandemic closure’, submitted to the National Assembly on Tuesday. The document noted that each school is “required to create temporary isolation spaces and fully-equipped clinics before reopening”. They have also been mandated to “establish a referral system, including protocols and procedures to take if learners, teachers, administrators, and other education personnel become unwell while in schools”. Apart from that, the Federal Government in the document mandated any state wishing to reopen schools to “hold adequate consultations with the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 and the parents”.     By Beauty John, LAFIA The personnel of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa state command have arrested a man suspected of raping a three-month-old baby in Adogi, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa state. The deputy commandant of the NSCDC command in Lafia, Bisi Olugboyega told newsmen at a press briefing today (Wednesday, June 24). The 27-year-old suspect named Ahmadu Yaro confessed to the defilement of Rakiya Aliyu during questioning by security agents. According to him, he carried out the dastardly act for fun and not for ritual purpose. The suspect testified that he had been involved in several sexual abuses especially against babies in that community. Aikawa of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos on three-count charges bordering on illegal dealing in petroleum products. . .        June 24, 2020 Press Statement PDP NWC Dissolves South South Zonal Caretaker Committee...Constitutes New Committee The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dissolved the South South Zonal Committee of the party and hereby announces a new Caretaker Committee. The action of the NWC is pursuant to Sections 29 (2)(b) and 31(2)(e) of the PDP Constitution (2017 as amended). The newly constituted South South Zonal Caretaker Committee which is chaired by Chief Dan Orbi, is to pilot the affairs of the party in the South South Zone for a period not exceeding three months (90) days as prescribed by section 32(2)(e) of the PDP Constitution.
