ANAMBRA GOVT RESCUES 13 CHILDREN FROM TRAFFICKERS, ARREST SUSPECTS. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. NIGERIAN TROOPS PUSHED BOKO HARAM FURTHER INTO LAKE CHAD TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

                In continuation of ongoing efforts to rout Boko Haram terrorists in its area of responsibility,troops of 7 Brigade Special Forces,8 Task Force Division have dislodged terrorists who have been gathering in Dawashi Gari village,in an area bordering the Lake Chad.In an engagement this morning,gallant soldiers of the division killed 4 terrorists,while others fled,abandoning their motorcycles,which were recovered and destroyed,to prevent their being used to perpetrate terror on innocent villagers.Similarly,as part of the theater wide and ongoing clearance operations,troops of 145 Bn,5 Brigade,8 Task Force Division have cleared Gashigar,Asaga,Bukarti and neighbouring villages.In the process,troops made contact with terrorists in Kanama village and killed 2 terrorists,arrested 2 more,while 1 AK 47 riffle,4 maagazines and 4 motorcycles were recovered. STREET TRADING: LAGOS PROVIDES CORNER SHOPS AS ALTERNATIVE+INAUGURATES MARKET SANITATION TASK FORCE TODAY.

                  The fight against eradication of street trading withing Lagos Central Business District has received a boost with the introduction of thirty corners shops donated by Mikano International Limited.Receiving the corner shops at Onikan Lagos,the Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business Districts,Mr. Agboola Dabiri commended the gesture of Mikano in living up to their social corporate responsibility and warned traders who display their wares on the roads and walkways to desist henceforth.He said ''Lagos State Government has now provided an alternative to selling on the streets and walkways in the area and will not tolerate the continuous display of wares on streets and walkways any longer''.Meanwhile,the State Government has also inaugurated the Central Business District Market Sanitation Task Force as part of efforts to ensure a cleaner maarket environment across the Lagos Island business district.

          Officials of Ministry of the Environment clearing a blocked drainage to allow for easy flow of water at Lekki,Lagos.The Lagos State Government has said that it is building a retention pond to assist in containing flooding in the State.The Commissioner for the Environment,Dr. Babatunde Samuel Adejare disclosed this during the sensitization programme for the 2017 Water Technology and Environmental Control Exhibition and Conference {WATEC} held at Renaissance Hotel,on Monday.Adejare said that a retention pond was currently being built at Sangotedo area of Lagos State as a form of rainfall harvesting to serve as a reservoir for stormwater at the peak of the rainy season,for onward release into the Okota River after the rains subsided.The Commissioner,who was one of the respondents at the interview session of the sensitization programme,explained that the retention pond was essential as Lagos in recent times had been experiencing flash flooding due to the r...

ARMED ROBBERS ATTACKED TOTAL FILLING STATION IN ONITSHA YESTERDAY & SHOT THE CASHIER DEAD.{GRAPHIC PHOTOS}.

                Armed robbers operating on a motorcycle yesterday monday killed a middle-aged man and injured another during a robbery attack at Total filling Station beside Kamo Plaza in Upper New Market road,Onitsha,Anambra State.According to a resident of the area identified as Divine Olisa,the robbers hid their guns inside a sack and pretended as if they wanted to buy fuel.After they were attended to,the suspected robbers brought out their guns and shot a man in the leg.They also entered the cashier's office and shot him dead.The robbers were said to have fled on their motorcycle before the arrival of security operatives.One more photo below.

                  The EFCC today,Tuesday,July 11,2017,arraigned a serving National Industrial Court Judge,Justice Agbadu James Fishim,before Justice Raliatu Adebiyi of Lagos State High Court,sitting in Ikeja on a 19 count charge bordering on unlawful enrichment to the tune of N4.7 Million.The defendant,Justice Agbadu James Fishim is alleged to have received monies from different lawyers and SANs in the course of discharging his duties as a judge,which he could not account for.After arraignment and argument and plea for granting of accused on bail,Justice Adebiyi,admitted him on bail with conditions and adjourned the matter to November 11,12 and 13,2017,for trial.More photos below.
