The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. EFCC Arraigns Cubana Manager, One Other For Alleged $164,000.00 Money Laundering In Lagos The Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, arraigned Lucky Uchechukwu Ndukwe, a Manager with Cubana Group, alongside one Precious Omonkhoa Ofure before Justice Justice O.A. Fadipe of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos for an offence bordering on conspiracy to launder and money laundering. Ndukwe, also known as Cubana Prime Minister, and Ofure were arrested recently by operatives of the Commission, following credible intelligence received about their involvement in the fraudulent activity. Items recovered from them include the sum of $164, 000. 00 (One Hundred and Sixty-four Thousand Dollars), iPhone mobile devices and laptop computers.

 Residents Move To Recall Hon Ebele Ejiofor Registered voters in Anaocha I State Constituency have moved to recall the house member representing them in Anambra State House Of Assembly, Hon. Leonard Ebele Ejiofor. In a letter addressed to the Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and signed by different individuals from the Constituency explained that the reason for his recall is because of poor representation, non performance , abuse of legislative privileges, non-involvement and consultation with the constituents before voting in some constitutional issues  The letter/petition addressed to Independent National Electoral Commission has the signatures of about 964 registered voters within the constituency. Pastor and Church Members Arrested For Allegedly Stoning Traditional Worshipper To D€ath in Lagos The pastor of Truth and The Spirit Prophetic Church in Lagos state, Mercy Okoch, 50, and nine of her church members have been arrested for allegedly stoning a 25-year-old traditional worshipper, Agboola Akeem, to d€ath during a clash on Tuesday, August 23 at about 6.30pm. According to a police source who confirmed this to LIB, officers attached to the Oko Oba Police Division received a distress call that the church located at Number 2 Sanni Taiwo Lawal street in Oko Oba, was about to be set ablaze. The officers immediately stormed the church premises. Preliminary investigation showed that the traditional worshippers were celebrating their Oro festival while the church members were having a church service. Anambra Bans Motorcycle Operations in Nnewi and Ekwulobia Anambra State government has extended motorcycle ban in urban cities of Ekwulobia and Nnewi with immediate effect. Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, who disclosed this after State Executive Council meeting said the decision followed rising insecurity in the areas. Before now, former governor, Chief Willie Obiano, had banned motorcycle operations, otherwise, known as okada in Awka and Onitsha. Man Dies In a Ghastly motor Accident.  A Man identified as Ebuka Princeline Ndu{Akpati Ego} d!ed in a motor accident on Sunday on his way back from his hometown. According to report, he traveled to his home town to gift his mother the car he bought for her. On his way back,he was involved in a ghastly motor accident and he died on the spot. It was also gathered that a friend who was with him in that same car lost consciousness and went into coma. Friends took to different social media platforms to mourn his death May his soul rest in peace. More photos below.

Lady murders sister in-law in a hotel room so as to sale body parts in exchange for Money Désirée Beyanga met a gentleman on social media who asked her to bring human parts in exchange of a huge sum of money.  She successfully k!lled her sister in law Marie Mbea but thanks to the vigilance of the staff at the hotel structure, Desiree wasn't able to become a millionaire as her bag was taken and human body parts were found in it. she has a dept of about 4million, she did it to clear her depts Forces of law were informed and she was arrested.  Horrible act may God take total control of our lives. It Will Take Nigeria 30 Years To Defeat Boko Haram – Nigerian Army  The Nigerian Army says it will take a minimum of 30 years to eradicate the Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram. According to Tribune, the Acting Director of Nigerian Army Information Management, Brig-Gen. Folorunso Oyinlola disclosed this in Benin at the 22nd Edition of Social Media Seminar on Civil-Military Relations. Oyinlola said it will take a new generation of Northeasterners with education and the right orientation for the militancy to be completely wiped out. The deputy military spokesman said the new generation will have to be educated and re-oriented before Nigeria can truly declare victory against Jihadism and terrorism.
