 Court adjourns case seeking to sack 27 pro-Wike lawmakers A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has adjourned till June 3, 2024 the hearing for a suit filed by members of the Rivers State Civil Society Organisation seeking to sack 27 lawmakers of the State House of Assembly. When the parties arrived at the Court for hearing on the matter on Friday, the Clerk of the court informed them that the Judge, Justice Stephen Daylop Pam was indisposed and a new date was picked. The CSO’s had approached the court to seek interpretation of Section 109 of the 1999 Constitution and whether the lawmakers, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress still have legal rights to remain as lawmakers of their constituencies. The CSO’s led by the Rivers State Chairman, Enefaa Georgewill also want the court to restrain Governor Siminalayi Fubara from representing the 2024 budget to the lawmakers who defected.            She is the leader of the Ukranian feminist group FEMEN,she goes topless with an inscription of '' Christmas is cancelled'' near st Peter's square on thursday in a protest against the catholic church stance on abortion when she ran towards the square shouting ,christmas is cancelled.She was stopped by 20 police officers.The police quickly formed a barrier around the activist to prevent media from documenting the event.She was covered in a blanket  and taken away in a police car as tourists and pilgrims looked on the with surprises on their face.FEMEN activists have targeted st Peters square before,including on the eve of the conclave that elected Pope Francis in Match,and have begun a series of protests in christian centres in support of abortion law.

          Governor of Edo state,Adams Oshiomohole,today thursday at a meeting with the Association of Resident Doctors,Medical and Dental consultants Association in Government House in Benin,described the warning strike by Nigeria Medical Association {NMA},as provocative,illegal,avoidable and unnecessary.He said '' If you have any grievances you are obliged by law,you are obliged by tradition,you are actually compelled by your own oath not to abandon your patients off as if there is pleasure.The facts are not in dispute because doctors under in the employment of Edo state Government are not staff of the Federal Government.''The Federal Government has no hand in your posting.How we find money to pay,the Federal Government has no hand in it so,i believe therefore,that even if we are to talk in the context of employer-employee relationship,you are obliged by law to state the particulars of your grievances to your employer.''                                             A discouraging result for the November/December 2013,West African Senior School Certificate Examination.has been released by West African Examination Council {WAEC}.The WAEC head of National office,Mr Charlse Eguridu said that there was worrisome decline in candidates performance in the examination when compared with stdents performance in 2011 and 2012.He said this year 2013,we have a total of 86,612 candidates representing 29.17 percent obtaining credits in five subjects and above,including English language and Mathematics.In 2012,a total of 150,615 candidates representing 37.97 percent obtained credits in five subjects and above ,including English language and Mathematics.In 2011,a total of 139,827 candidates representing 36.07 percent also obtained credits in five subjects and above including English language and Mathematics.He said ,308,217 candidates that registered and sat for the 2013 examination,299,784 had their results fully releas

              Singer Adele,25 years old and a mother of one,received her MBE,from Prince Charles at Bukingham Palace today thursday 19th,2013.She is wearing a Stella Mccartney midnite blue prom dress.She painted her nails Royal blue with little crowns on it.Adele used Beauty works Gold Weft extensions to create the voluminous updo.Adele beamed from ear to ear curtsying before Prince Charles pinned the medal to her chest and shaking his hand.Charles was then seen chatting to Adele for several minutes,presumably congratulating her on her immense musical success.Adele said ''Her visit to Buckingham palace to receive her MBE was a very posh affair.She also said ''It was an honour to be recognised and a very proud moment to be awarded along side such wonderful and inspirational people,very posh indeed''.
