 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

CELINE DION PREPARES TO SPEND HER LAST CHRISTMAS WITH HER HUSBAND+HER CHRISTMAS PERFORMANCE YESTERDAY.

                          47 year old Celine Dion is preparing to spend her last christmas with her music manager husband 73 year old Rene Angelil,who is battling throat cancer.Yesterday thursday,Celine Dion stole the show as she took to the stage in Michael Buble's annual Christmas concert in Hollywood as she performed ''O Holy Night and Happy xmas''.in which the studio audiences were moved to tears.She was later joined by show host Buble for a duet,changing into a tuxedo with jewelled embroidary on the shoulders and sleeves,but i prefer the first light pink gown she wore to the tuxedo.I pray her husband sees 2016 Christmas,miracles can still happen.More photos below.

A HAND GRENADE WAS THROWN INTO A MOSQUE TODAY IN ETHIOPIA,INJURING MANY PEOPLE.

                      A hand grenade was thrown into a mosque in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa today friday and the blast injured at least six people.The attack took place just after friday's prayers at Anwar Mosque in Addis Ababa's Mercato district,a predominantly Muslim neighborhood.Witnesses said at least six people were taken to a nearby hospital.A witness identified as Sileshii said ''I saw three people with heavy injuries,one of which looked like he had lost both hands''.Government spokesman Getachew Reda confirmed the attack and said the number of wounded was not yet established.He said it was not clear who was responsible for the attack.

COURT ORDER'S ALL KANU NWANKWO'S BANK ACCOUNT TO BE FROZEN.

                 It was reported today By PM News,that in a bid to recover a debt of N924,788,754.56,a Federal Court sitting in Lagos,has ordered that all accounts belonging to former captain of the Super Eagles,Nwankwo Kanu and his company,The Hardley Apartments anywhere and in any bank or financial institution in Nigeria should be frozen pending the hearing of a suit filed against him and his company.Also affected by the order of the court is a Director of Hardley Apartment,Ayoola Gam-Ikon.The order of the court was as a result of a debt recovery suit filed by Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria {AMCOM} against the defendants.The presiding judge,Okon Abang after accessing the case,ordered that AMCON shall in the interim possess all the movable and immovable properties known as Plot 46,Waziri Ibrahim Cresent,Victoria Island,Lagos.That in the interim the debt due or accruing from The Hardley Apartment as well as the debts accruing from the defendants jointly and severally and freez

A NIGERIAN DESIGNER,ENLISTED TO DECORATE THE U.S WHITE HOUSE FOR CHRISTMAS.

                                                  The Nigerian designer is identified as Duro Olowu and three other designers Carolina Herrera Leon,Carol Lim and Kenzo were brought into decorate the White House China Room,Vermeil Room and Library for the holiday season.The White House theme this year is Timeless Tradition,the inspiration that lead designer Duro Olowu to create custom teddy bears using vintage African fabric in decorating the Vermeil room.Duru Olowu was born to a Nigerian father and Jamaican mother.Duro was raised in Lagos,spending his childhood travelling between Nigeria and different cities in Europe.His wife Thelma Golden,is the Director and Chief curator of the studio museum in Harlem,New York.More photos below.

A BOMB ATTACK FROM BOKO HARAM TODAY,LEFT 8 PEOPLE DEAD IN CAMEROON.

                           Today friday morning,eight people were killed and 21 wounded in a suspected suicide bombing by Boko Haram in far North region of Cametoon.According to sources ''There were two suicide bombers,and only the first bomb exploded''.Boko Haram wants to establish an Islamic caliphate in northeastern Nigeria,and its attacks have spilled across the borders of neighbouring countries.I just pray the Boko Haram sect will embrace peace these coming 2016.
