  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.                              Today monday,the Central Bank of Nigeria {CBN},took over Skye Bank after the lender failed to meet the regultor's minimum key liquidity and capital adequacy ratios.The CBN Governor,Godwin Emefiele,disclosed this at a press conference,held at the CBN's head office in Lagos.Emefiele said the apex bank had appointed a new board and management for the bank following the resignation of the Chairman Chief Tunde Ayeni and Management Director/Chief Executive officer Timohy Oguntayo.The rate at which people have started withdrawing their money is alarming i will advice the CBN to assure the Syke bank customers that their money is safe to avoid panic withdrawal that can crash the bank.One more photo below.

NIGERIAN TROOPS AVERTS SUICIDE BOMBING BY 3 FEMALES IN MONGUNO TODAY.{PHOTOS}.

                                                   Today monday at about 6.15am,3 female Boko Haram terrorists suicide bombers attempted to attack innocent Internally Displaced Persons {IDPs}fetching water at a borehole located about 3 kilometres,outskirts of Monguno town along Marte road.Our vigilant troops detected and gunned them down,killing both instantly.Unfortunately,the explosive they were strapped with exploded and injured 2 civilians nearby.The injured persons have been evacuated and are receiving medical attention at the 8 Task Force Division's medical facility.However,the third suicide bomber that followed a different route,detonated some distance before troops deployment along the same road at about 7:10am.Troops have cordoned off the general area and imposed restriction of movement into Monguno while they the general area and make it safe.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director,Army Public Relations.More photos below.                                            

ALEX BADEH TRIAL,ADJOURNED TILL OCTOBER,2016.#ARMS DEAL.

                         Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama,Abuja has adjourned till monday,October 10,2016 for the continuation of trial in the prosecution of erstwhile Chief of Defense Staff,Alex Badeh.One of the offences for which Badeh is being prosecuted by the EFCC alongside Iyalikam Nigeria Limited is for allegedly abusing his office by using the dollar equivalent of the sum of N1.4billion {One Billion,One Hundred Million Naira}.removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force to purchase properties in choice areas of Abuja between January and December,2013 an offence which contravenes Section 15 {2} {d} of the Money Laundering {Prohibition},Act,2011} {as amended} and punishable under section 15 {3} of the same Act.The trial will run concurrently for three days till wednesday,October 12,2016.
