 Noise pollution: Lagos seals five churches, 19 hotels The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has temporarily shut down no fewer than five churches and 19 hotels over noise pollution between March 23 and April 26  Calculations by our correspondent also showed that no fewer than four markets and shopping complexes were also shut down over noise pollution and other environmental infractions. The churches that have been temporarily sealed include St Monica’s Hall of Our Lady of Lord’s Catholic Church, Christ Rock of Fire Ministry, Wonderful Bible Prayer Ministries, God’s Porch Ministries, and an unnamed Catholic Church Some of the hotels affected are School2bar, Blue Seasons Hotel and Suites, Sulerious Lakeside Hotel, Monero Hotel and Suites, and Lekki Hotel and Suites. 38-year-old pastor arrested for allegedly defiling his choir member A 38-year-old pastor Israel Adebayo has been arrested by men of Ogun state Police Command for defiling a 14  years old member of his Church (name withheld). The Pastor who is the General Overseer of "The Beloved Chapel " situated at No 9, Iyaniwura street, off Owonikoko street Agbado area of Ogun state was arrested following a complaint lodged at Agbado divisional headquarters by the mother of the victim,  who reported that while she traveled to treat herself of certain ailment, her daughter who happened to be a choir member in their church, went to Church and the Pastor lured her into his room and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.  Upon the report, the DPO Agbado division detailed his detectives to the scene where the Pastor was promptly arrested.  On interrogation, the Pastor who admitted defiling the victim pleaded for forgiveness. Oniru Collapsed Building... LASEMA in search and rescue operations  The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency has activated its Emergency Response Plan after having received a distress call of a building that collapsed at Oba Idiwu Oniru Street beside Avi Maria, Victoria Island, today, 4th September, 2022. Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, an uncompleted 7 storey building undergoing construction was found to have collapsed. OGUN POLICE ARRESTS THREE DEADLY CULTISTS/SERIAL KILLERS.  Operatives of Ogun state Police Command on 31st of August 2022 arrested three leading members of the dreaded Eiye confraternity who have been terrorizing Ijebu Ode and its environs for quite some time now.  The suspects, Odukoya Odushina, Subomi Popoola and Itunuoluwa Taiwo were arrested following an information received by the Police at Obalende divisional headquarters Ijebu Ode, that cultists were seen holding nocturnal meeting at a black spot known as Sanga at the back of Central Mosque, with the view to unleash terror on members of the community.  Upon the information, the DPO Obalende division, mobilized his men and stormed the said black spot.  On sighting the policemen, the hoodlums attacked them with dangerous weapons, but they were subdued and the ring leader Odukoya Odushina a.k.a Odus who is the no 1 eiye confraternity, Subomi Popoola a.k.a Oyan and Itunuoluwa Taiwo were apprehended.  Preliminary investigation reveal

The directive was approved by the Commissioner for Education in the state, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo. LASG TO ARREST DEVELOPER, EXPERTS RESPONSIBLE FOR IRU/VICTORIA ISLAND CONSTRUCTION The Lagos State Government has ordered arrest of the developer and building professionals working on the 7-floor structure that collapsed under construction in the early hours of Sunday at Oba Abiodun Oniru Road in Iru/Victoria Island area of the State. The Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development,  Dr. Idris Salako, spoke during his visit to the site of the building collapse, saying that the developer and professionals violated the planning laws of the State by embarking  on the construction without a valid Planning Permit and ignoring official warnings to halt the building project. He emphasised that under no circumstance should anyone construe the filling of Application for Permit through the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA) as a ticket to commence construction.

AGAIN, NIGERIAN ARMY FIGHTING PATROL GIVE BANDITS BLOODY NOSE, ELIMINATE 3, RECOVER WEAPONS IN KADUNA  In sustained operations to clear the North West of banditry and terrorism, troops of  1 Division, Nigerian Army have again neutralized bandits and terrorists along Sabon Birni, Dogondawa-Kuyelo and Farin Ruwa on Saturday 3 September 2022.  The dogged and highly motivated troops, while on a fighting patrol, came in contact with unconfirmed  number of bandits.
