Money ritual: Five men sentenced to 60 years imprisonment for possession of human skull in Niger state The Chief Magistrate of a court two in Tunga, Minna, Niger State has sentenced five men to 60 years imprisonment with hard labour for being in possession of a human skull.  Each of the convicts will spend 12 years in prison for attempting to commit a money ritual with the skull. Chief Magistrate Fati Umar Hassan, who passed the judgment on Monday, October 16, 2023, found them guilty on a three-count charge which bordered on criminal conspiracy, trespass on the burial ground, and unlawful possession of a human skull. The convicts are Ibrahim Jiya, Suleiman Usman, Abdullahi Usman, Idris Mohammed, and Isah Mohammed, all from Sakpe village of Edati Local government  area of Niger State.  Police prosecutor, Inspector Mua’azu  Abdullahi, said the three count charges were punishable under sections 97,213 and 219 of the penal code law respectively. 40ft container crushes Abia businessman to death on his way to Port Harcourt airport A businessman identified as Akuma Kalu, was crushed to death when a 40ft container fell on his car in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State.   It was gathered that Kalu died on Thursday, October 12, 2023, on his way to the Port Harcourt international Airport to board a flight.    His vehicle was said to have been stuck at a bad portion of the Etche-Ngo Okpala road when the container fell off a truck and crushed him. EFCC Arrests 46 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Calabar,  Eket Operatives of the Uyo Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested forty-six(46) suspected internet fraudsters at different locations within Calabar, Cross River State and Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. While the Calabar suspects were arrested on October 13, 2023,  their Eket counterparts were nabbed on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Onimisi was accused of developing the software to hack into the security measures of the bank, in order to defraud it. EFCC Arrests Wanted Suspect for N2billion Fraud In Lagos Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested one Chike Nosa Agada, an unlicensed foreign exchange dealer, for an alleged N2bn fraud.   Agada, a 37-year old native of Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, was declared wanted by the Commission on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, for obtaining money by false pretence and stealing by conversion to the tune of N2billion   He was arrested at a residence in the Bourdillion, Ikoyi area of Lagos on Monday, October 16, 2023 during a sting operation by operatives of the Commission,  following credible intelligence linking him to the alleged fraud. Upon arrest, a mobile device was recovered from him. He will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

EFCC Arrests Musician for Allegedly Defrauding Briton £9,300 Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested a Musician: Aniji Shedrack Chidubem, (a.k.a Sanij-D) for allegedly defrauding a Briton, Susan Mclean, the sum of £9,300.00 (Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Euros). The suspect was also alleged to have defrauded an American: Diana Rosado Gonzalax, the sum of $2,000.00 (Two Thousand American Dollars). He was arrested in the Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, based on credible intelligence on the activities of a syndicate of internet fraudsters. Chidubem allegedly impersonated one Christopher Rossi, a marine engineer that fixes boats and pipelines in Singapore. He was using Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp applications, with foreign phone numbers, as his fraudulent means of perpetrating and defrauding his victims. He will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

River Basin To Introduce Solar-Powered Irrigation Pumps In Kwara The Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority Ilorin, says it would introduce solar power irrigation pumps in its operations to strengthen dry season farming in the country and ensure food security.  Speaking at the closing ceremony of a three-day training programme for selected staff in different categories, held in Ilorin, , the managing director of the authority, Dr. Adeniyi Aremu, said that the purpose was to ensure food sufficiency and achieve reduction in food prices.  He said the authority would change all it's irrigation pumps to solar powered pumps to reduce over dependent on petrol.  Dr. Aremu, said that the training programme is aimed at improving the capacity of staff to perform set objectives, mission, visions and mandate of the authority.  He explained that the selected staff that received the training "would in turn train field workers as well as ordinary farmers in their local languages.  D

NCAA To Audit Airports Nationwide The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is to commence the audit of all airports, both local and International in the country. Director General of NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu told newsmen in Lagos that it was to ensure they meet the minimum standards to operate in a safe and secured manner. The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is currently managing 28 local and five international airports, while some state governments also managed a few. Captain Nuhu said some of these airports have deficiencies in the areas of safety, security and comfort. “Any airport that has a deficiency will be grounded to the level of status they are,” he said. On the Lagos and Abuja international airports yet to be recertified three years after the previous certification expired, Captain Nuhu said FAAN was yet to meet the requirements for recertification due to some challenges. Lagos seals hospital for transfusing patients with unscreened blood The Lagos government has sealed a private hospital at Ago-Okota in Oshodi-Isolo local government area of the state for collecting and transfusing unscreened and unlabelled blood to unsuspecting patients. Dr Bodunrin Osikomaiya, the Executive Secretary, Lagos State Blood Transfusion Service (LSBTS), said this in a statement signed by Tunbosun Ogunbanwo, Director, Public Affairs, state Ministry of Health, on Sunday in Lagos. Osikomaiya said the LSBTS in collaboration with the state Health Facilities Monitoring and Accreditation Agency (HEFAMAA) sealed the facility following a tip-off from a concerned citizen. “Following the tip off, and after thorough investigations, the enforcement teams of LSBTS and HEFAMAA, during their joint monitoring exercise in the area, visited the facility and confirmed to be true, the unwholesome, unprofessional and unethical medical practices and conduct of the hospital management,” Osikomaiya

One of those times is the video" Moyo Lawal speaks up after her intimate video was l£aked Moyo Lawal has opened up about the events that led to her s3x tape being leaked.  The actress explained that sex isn't something she takes lightly and she only had sex twice last year, one of which was filmed and leaked.  She added that her partner started filming "after the fact".  She went on to explain that her relationship with the man wasn't a casual one. She said they were already working towards marriage.  She also said she has turned down many dating offers and has been alone for most of her adult life, choosing to do life the right way.  Reacting to claims that she was the one who released the video to trend, Moyo said that was a "foolish narrative" and she has nothing to say to those who believe it.  She also revealed that she has broken up with the man in the sex video.
