EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                                   Bode George who was the former Deputy National Chaiman of the Peoples Democratic Party {PDP},said to Vangard newspaper that ''What will i be doing here? i can decide to go and live anywhere.Look at everyone surrounding him {Buhari}.So i am not joking about it,what will i be doing here?.At 70,what will i be doing here?.All we have been doing to restructure the country has been lost.We have been trying to ensure balance in the polity but all that,has gone,then what else will i be doing here?.NTA even tweeted that Bode might go on exile now that Buhari won.Read NTA tweet below.

                                 Godsay Orubebe,who was a former Niger Delta Affairs Minister,challenged the Independent National Electoral Commission {INEC} Chairman Attahiru Jega during the collation of election results in Abuja,accusing Jega of compromise.Orubebe took hold of the micro phone at the centre and sat on the stage while criticizing Jega's handling of the results collation.But last night after it was obvious that Buhari had won,Orubebe said during a 30 minutes press briefing in Abuja that he regretted his action for allowing his emotion to overwhelm him.Orubebe pleaded with Niger Delta youths not to perpetrate violence because of the election of Gen Muhammadu Buhari.''Election is a passionate thing and i really regret what took place during the results collation.I was unnecessarily pushed by Jega to get to that level.I want to apologise particularlyto young Nigerians that took up to take politics as a career to say that what happened was not intended to cause
