 Chess master, Tunde Onakoya’s parents get house gift By Jide Ajia Chessmaster, Tunde Onakoya,  finds himself engulfed in emotions as an unnamed good Samaritan graciously gifted a house to his parents. The development is coming on the heels of Tunde’s breaking of the Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon in New York. While the official verdict on Tunde’s record-breaking endeavoir remains pending, the spirit he exhibited throughout the marathon has already won him admiration and acclaim from far and wide. Overwhelmed by the gesture towards his parents, Onakoya took to his X handle to pour out his heartfelt gratitude on Friday. Despite his father’s initial skepticism towards his passion for chess, Onakoya acknowledged his unwavering support in myriad other ways. He wrote, “Today, an angel blessed my parents with a new home. 4 CHINESE ARRESTED TODAY,BY THE NIGERIAN CUSTOMS FOR ILLEGAL IMPORTATION IN KANO.

                    According to sources,the Nigerian Customs Service Anti-smuggling Taskforce today thursday in Kano arrested three Chinese nationals for illegally importing printed textile materials worth billions of Naira to Nigeria.The leader of the task force and Deputy Controller of Customs,Hassan Shallangwa,disclosed this while briefing newsmen in Kano.He said the suspects were apprehended during a specially arranged operation following a tip off.The four persons were arrested in connection with the illegal printed textiles materials.He said the suspects illegally stored the materials at six warehouses located at Gandun Albasa commercial layout in Kano metropolis.Shaallangwa said 20 other warehouses located in various places in the metropolis were suspected to be stocked with illegal items.He warned that the Nigerian Customs Service would not fold it's arms and allow any person or group of persons to continue to perpetrate acts of illegality in the country.''Hencefor

EGYPTIAN ARMY,FREES ETHIOPIANS HELD IN LIBYA-PRESIDENT SISI.

        Today thursday,President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi said Ethiopians who had been kidnapped in Libya arrived at Cairo airport today after Egyptian army forces rescued them.But one Ethiopian in the group,and a Libyan source,appeared to cast doubt on that version of events,saying the men had only been held up by Libyan immigration.The state broadcast gave no details of their identity,the manner of their release or circumstances of detention.Another source claimed that the Egyptian intelligence service,had provide Ligyan authorities with information that helped them free the Ethiopians who had been held by armed groups in the cities of Derna and Misrata.One of the Ethiopians said they had been held by Libyan immigration authorities.''The Libyan government came and took us to the anti illegal immigration body and then the Egyptian government took us from there''.President Sisi further said that ''What happened in Libya is a concern for all of us,and we are saying t

A PASTOR DANIEL AKINTOLA,CAUGHT WITH DRUGS BY THE NDLEA AT ENUGU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT YESTERDAY.

                   A 43 year old pastor identified as Daniel Akintola,who is one of the Pastors at the Gospel Faith Mission International,Olayemi Assembly Ipaja,Lagos has been apprehended in Enugu airport by the NDLEA men yesterday on his way back from Uganda.According to Daniel who  tried to abandon his luggage and flee when he noticed the men had to recheck his luggage again,but he was arrested at-last and he admitted he owns the luggage but said he knows nothing about the 1.9 kilogrammes of heroin found in ot.He said ''I am a pastor with the Gospel Faith Mission International,Olayemi Assembly,Ipaja Lagos.I attended a ministers conference in Uganda.This bag containing heroin is my bag,but i am a pastor and not a drug trafficker''.When he was asked to prove if he truely attended the ministers conference in Uganda as claimed by him,but Pastor Daniel could not prove it.He is presently in the custody of the NDLEA.One more photo below.

A TEACHER AND TWO OTHERS,ARRESTED FOR KIDNAPPING A 62YEAR OLD WOMAN IN EPE,LAGOS STATE.

                      According to the Nigerian Police,they said yesterday wednesday a teacher and two others were arrested for allegedly kidnapping a 62 year old woman identified as Kudirat Adeboye.The teacher Identified as Ifeanyi Chukwuleta,Kolawole Alani and Rasheed Adetunji were arrested while their gang leader while their gang leader Niyi Omosola was shot dead as he tried to collect N3,million ransom.Police also said it recovered oe double barrel pistol,two expended cartridges and six live cartridges from the suspects.The Commissioner of Police in the state,Mr Kayode Aderanti said a complaint was received by the Divisional police officer,Akodo Division that the woman was kidnapped on Eleko/Epe expressway.According to him,on receivig the information he directed the officer incharge of the Special Anti Robbery Squad {SARS},DSP Aba Kyari,to fish out the hoodlums.He said when the kidnappers contacted the victim's family,they initially demanded N50 million but later agreed to coll
