The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. 19-YEAR OLD DELTA STATE MONARCH GRADUATES FROM UK UNIVERSITY YESTERDAY.{PHOTO}.

Obi Chukwuka Noah Ofulue, the 19 year old Obi of Ubulu-Uku kingdom in Delta state, graduated from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom yesterday Tuesday July 16th. The monarch bagged a degree in Law at the school's convocation ceremony which was attended by his family. Obi Akaeze I who is described as the youngest monarch in Nigeria, was installed as King in February 2016 following the death of his father, Obi Akaeze Edward Ofulue III who was kidnapped and subsequently murdered in January of the same year. A JOURNALIST SLUMPED AND DIED WHILE DANCING AT A SCHOOL REUNION PARTY IN EDO STATE.{PHOTOS}.

     Pandemonium broke at the St Maria Goretti Reunion Party in Edo State last Friday July 12th when journalist, Osarugue Eunice Egbobawaye, who was at the school's 60th anniversary party, slumped and died while dancing. She was said to have been dancing in the school hall then slumped on a chair. Eunice was said to be life of the party as she was proudly showing off her dance moves. However after some minutes, people around her presumed it was tiredness while some noticed she was not moving nor responding to her name when she was called upon. Doctors were alerted and checked her but no peripheral pulses were palpated. She was then rushed to the hospital where she was certified dead on arrival.More photos below.

       In furtherance of Lagos State Government’s real time traffic simulation survey being carried out with the aim of reducing traffic congestion around the Lekki-Epe and Ikoyi axis, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has again approved the opening of Lekki and Ikoyi toll gates during peak hours on Wednesday 17th July 2019. A statement signed by the Governor’s Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Gboyega Akosil e stated that a toll-free passage at the toll plaza on Lekki-Epe Expressway and the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge would run between 6:30am and 9:30am in the morning, and also at the peak period in the evening (4:30pm to 7.30pm).        First Lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has disclosed that a new advocacy aimed at keeping girls in school will begin during the next academic session in September.       The Makurdi Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, has thrown its weight behind the Benue State Government in rejecting the proposed Ruga settlements for herdsmen in the state.
