      Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), Mr. Akintunde Oyebode on Tuesday said that no fewer than 15,000 jobs have been created by the Fund in the last two years. Speaking to journalists and some Masters Research Students in his office, he said at least 8000 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and businesses have also accessed approximately N6billion since inception of the ETF, an initiative of the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode administration through which N25billion was earmarked to be disbursed over a period of four years to provide entrepreneurs, artisans, traders and others with capital to boost their businesses thereby reducing unemployment and increasing wealth among the people. According to him, since its commencement in 2016, the ETF has continued to grow the economy and create jobs through provision of credit facilities with minimal interest.      A Nigerian man, Mr Dimagbo Cleaverly Brown from Bonny LGA of Rivers State has been attacked by assassins in his house at night for campaigning for President Muhammadu Buhari. An eyewitness, Bright Orgwu who spoke with IGBERE TV correspondent, revealed that the man's head was damaged and the Doctors said the cut touched his brain and requires urgent surgery. In his words, "The man is an APC mobiliser who is living in Bonny LGA of Rivers State. He was attacked by assassins in his house on Saturday(22/9/2018) at night for campaigning for President Muhammadu Buhari. "His head was opened by the attackers and the Doctors said the cut touched his brain and requires urgent surgery. For now, he has been abandoned and may die if nothing is done urgently," he said.       It was havest of convictions for the Benin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, today, September 24, 2018 as seven persons who were arraigned on separate count charge for different offences were convicted and sentenced to various jail term by the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City, Edo State. One of the convict, Ekoh Noel was arraigned on a one count charge of obtaining by false pretence.  He was said to have impersonated and represented himself as Mike Ezuruonye, a popular Nollywood Star on Facebook to defraud his victims. Upon his arraignment, the convict pleaded guilty to the charge and was consequently sentenced and convicted by Justice P. I. Ajoku.            Hundreds of the residents of Osun State, as well as supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party on Monday, stormed the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Osogbo to protest against the rerun election ordered by the commission after declaring last Saturday’s governorship election inconclusive. The protesters were not attacked by the armed policemen stationed at the INEC office  to prevent the place from being invaded.The protesters were armed with placards with various inscriptions such as: “No to rerun”, “INEC, don’t conspire with APC”, and “The people spoke on Saturday, announce the result” among others.
